This place has it all, location, surroundings, friendly personal and a truly good cuisine. The food is French, excellent. I will come here, from now on, every time I'm in Wien. One can also buy wines, cheeses, and all kind of stuff only French know how to eat. Superb.

Very good coffee and chocolate trufles as well as food. All with a touch of Paris. Although u need to reserve a table inside THERE IS ALWAYS A SPOT FOR A REST BEFORE U CONTINUE TO THE NEXT CULTURAL QUEST!

We found this place as we were walking around. Outside decoration is typical French brasserie. We wanted a hot drink and we stopped. We realized that this is the "place to be" the shop is always full, the tables are not vacant for too long, people are queuing to get in. We had a small break with hot chocolate topped... More

Immediately upon entering the shop/ restaurant it feels like you are in France: the sales counter full of different cheeses, patisseries and, jams is very French. Also the tiles on the floor and the bistro tables give this bistro a French atmosphere. The Sunday brunch menu is wonderful- difficult to choose from the many things on offer. I went with... More

Cozy French cafe with great food. Roquefort mussels, divine quiche (the best in years), crepes with salty caramel, wine and fresh bread, yummy. We will be back!

It was a real delight to find this Bistro in the Ferstel passage when we were in search of a light supper. My salad was original, wholesome, delicious and my husband loved his filled baguette. We sat outside but could see that inside the place was humming with people eating and drinking wine. It's a totally cool place to be... More

Walking through on a Sunday afternoon, we discovered the tables in the passage and more inside! Beautiful cheeses, wines, filled cookie tins and pastries on display. For a coffee and dessert or a full meal, a wonderful virtual trip 'down South.'

A French bistro in the heart of Vienna. Dare I say a welcome relief to Austrian food! The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much of a problem. The ambience of the arcade in which it is located is superb - people keep stopping to take photos - but you can you put up with that!

A real beauty, visually so pleasing to the eyes, complete charm! An authentic French feel in a wonderful atmosphere. We dined outside in the little covered mall, a very magical atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and professional. The food was beautifully presented with fresh ingredients which made for a savory meal. Good wine selection and nice Champagne cocktails. The... More

The salade Nicoise I had was very fresh and tasty. Interestingly the tuna was left in the can and served on the side. I liked it so much I need to find some for home. Most of their desserts are fresh from Cafe Central right next door, unfortunately I was too full to have any. Service was attentive. Their menu... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
