We went to Prosi for a quick dinner. The restaurant is modern and lightly decorated. Depending on when you visit (before or after 17:00) its self service or a la carte in the evening (slightly more expensive). The food was excellent, especially the Tandoori dishes. The waiters were nice, but had some difficulty with the language. All in all great... More

South Indian food, made by authentic cook at the back-room of this international-food shop. Made daily fresh, choice varies daily, great value for money

A wide selection of Indian food at cheap prices and good portions. Not fancy, not meant to be. Tasty and I will return. Also, the shop has a stunning variety of foreign foods from corn tortillas to unusual Asian spices and seasonings. From every continent.

When you go to a place like Prosi, a supermarket specialized with food from your own country for **every** country is a delight. Africans, asians and latinamericans together with happy faces finding what they crave. It is difficult to find something you need from back home. And there is the indian restaurant. Good food at a reasonable price in a... More

Good place for Indian snacks. Also attached is their supermarket where you can get many Indian, Asian and African groceries and vegetables all in Vienna.

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
