We got interested with the place being the oldest cafe (in the world?) of more than a century. So what makes this coffee shop last long? Staff was fast and friendly. Food is very good - beef tartar for starter, beef broth, chicken for my...More

Each time I come to Vienna I must visit a Landtman cafe. Its class, nice atmosphere, professional service and great food and desserts are always delightful. Must see, must visit, visit experience - Vienna at its own.

We had lunch here on a sunny day. The terrace is nice, the staff is well dressed and professional. The waiter we had was a bit too hard to be smooth, as it almost got awkward they way he wanted to come over as experienced....More

This one has been trading for over 145 years and we stopped in to check it out. The service was good albeit with the same Austrian snobby/surly overtones. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch with coffees, juices and breads.

Good service from the waiters and good location for people watching. Was very disappointed with the quality of the cakes. It was Sunday afternoon. But the sachertorte was dry and the apple strudel was tough and tasteless. I don't mind paying top dollar if the...More

Dear 418seungkyuk, thank you for your review. I would like to add that our historic Interieur was made in 1873. It is protected. Most of our customers enjoy the unique atmosphere.

If you want to visit an historical landmark, this is your place. The service and the food were excellent. We just ordered one ice cream, one ice coffee and two ristrettos (espresso). The bill: $26.40. Nice atmosphere but you pay for it.More

After another full day in the City we walked back towards our apartment and decided to eat here en-route as we had tickets for a play at the English Theatre. With outdoor seating it offers a great view of the surrounding area and the food...More

I have visited cafe Landtmann numerous times and tried many of their cakes. This is a typical, traditional Viennese cafe. Service is sometimes friendly, sometimes grumpy but that is normal for Vienna. I would recommend this place to people who want to experience classy Viennese...More
