This is an easy walk from U Stephanplatz in the tourist area. We had the predictable schnitzel as I was there with first timers to Wien. Normally I would be more adventurous . The meal was ok. Not the best schnitzel or meal I have had in Wien, still ok. Marred by the table of smokers next to us. Still,... More

It is small one, very nice people running the place. Food is good. Simple, but tasty. Great Austrian red wine! It is not perfectly located. Fine it on google and give them a call.

I was recommended Oswald & Kalb by the concierge (Stephan) at the Ritz. Great suggestion! This is a "local" place with what seems to be local food. I went for the schnitzel (which looked amazing), but was recommended the goose as a special for the night. Absolutely delicious! The service was very good, efficient and the restaurant has a lot... Very curious place. Full of visitors, both tourists and local ones, but doesn't leave a scent of another touristic attraction. Not just old style, but really old interiors, senior waiters and owners. Good selection of wines, reasonable selection of meals (schnitzel is really good, which is not the case for many cafes in the city), reasonable prices.

Nothing fancy here, but traditional Viennese food, Austrian wines and helpful friendly service. We had roast goose. We booked to eat at 10, after a concert in nearby Stephansdom. We were last out but we're never rushed. What's not to like?

We arrived to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is located in the old city of Vienna and serves traditional Austrian food. I ordered schnitzel was great and apple strudel for dessert one of the best I've ever eaten.

The best meal what Vienna can provide to all tourists is always a great Wiener snitzel. Here at the Oswald und Kalb is just outstanding. My partner had a Tafelspitz which was also phenomenal. It was a great culinarish experience to eat what my grand mother cooked many years ago. Thank you for a kind and humorfull service by Josef.

It's very difficult to get into a restaurant in Vienna city centre at the last minute, so we were lucky to get a table reservation here an hour earlier. The welcome was warm, the service was efficient, and the food was typical of many pubs in the area. What I did particularly enjoy, was the fresh vegetables served with the... More

We were really amazed by the staff. They were very friendly and made our meal a special experience. The food was delicious and quite cheap by Vienesse standards. We will definitely recommend it and we'll return as soon as possible.

Old style restaurant with really good food that is fairly priced. Also the wine is fairly priced. I had the roasted lamb. I would definitely go back here.
