This is a lovely, informal restaurant, with an enticing menu. The food is carefully prepared and very tasty. My only complaint is that each dish was garnished with flowers--nasturtiums, I think.

Since when is "not crowded" a detriment? We seemed to be the only customers for lunch. If that's enough to upset you, if you want to follow the crowd, then don't go here. Otherwise: they recognized and fully met their need for a new chef....More

With the experience we had, this place really should no longer be rated as a 1 star Michelin. I started with a salad that was swimming in its dressing, it was almost inedible. My second course of soup was so salty I added 1/4 cp...More

Perhaps at one time this restaurant was worthy of a Michelin Star.....but no longer. First of all we were two of only a handful of customers for dinner. Obviously, others had gotten the word. The meal was started by serving us a slice of sausage...More

We reserved well ahead of time for a dinner for 4 at this lovely restaurant. It is small and intimate. Service was helpful and attentive. There were several asparagus dishes and local cuisine. Two of our group had the prix fix menu which had generous...More

This place is somewhat hard to find if you are a tourist or using gps. You definitely need a reservation as it is very small. We were taken here by locals who have been coming here for years and it is their favorite restaurant. The...More

The food was amazing! We each started with pasta and white truffles. I had the lamb and my husband had the 'bunny," both accompanied by a wonderful bottle of Austrian wine. The service was professional, as was the overall presentation. Most of the men wore...More

This small restaurant is tucked away on a side street a few minutes walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral. (Also just 15 min walk or so from Hotel Sacher, where we stayed). Walter Bauer was a recommendation of the concierge, and we are glad to have...More

Old University Quarter
North of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna suddenly
turns small, winding and medieval, opening up to
legendary places such as the Basilisk sculpture at
Schönlaterngasse, as well as glamorous baroque
façades, courtyards and churches. Take 45 minutes for
a casual stroll through Bäckerstrasse,
Sonnenfelsgasse, Köllnerhofgasse, Grashofgasse, and
Schönlaterngasse. This quarter is packed with stories

I'm sorry I don't recall. I found them in the guide Michelin and it usually has hours but my copy isn't handy. I do know we were there late in the evening.
