One iconic sight and cake. Worth the visit and money. Can't leave Vienna without trying the Original Sacher and Wiener Melange. Cafe has its unique atmosphere and regal decor.

So I had Emporer Franz Josef's favourite pudding in a place that has been serving it for centuries. Beautiful surroundings too.

I queued outside and had a drink and cake to be honest the cake was not great - a bit dry! This did not completely take away from the experience but I will not be back. The service and staff were lovely.

The place is crowded with tourists no matter when you go. If you can wait in line, definitely do so, because the chocolate cake is absolutely worth it. Not cheap, but with Vienna coffee or tea, it is a treat. Why 4 star --- everything...More

We skipped the sit down area and went to their outside store where you can get the cake to go. I would recommend this if you are short on time, but I would definitely go in if you have the time! The cake was amazing!...More

Description
Cafe Sacher Vienna offers the perfect chance to sample a typical Viennese coffee-house atmosphere and - of course - to treat yourself to a slice of the legendary Original Sacher-Torte. The Cafe Sacher, directly opposite the Opera House, is a popular meeting place in the center of Vienna. The windows of the conservatory fold away in the summer to make an open terrace that is the perfect place to soak up the sights and sounds of the city.
