It was good food, though I would not necessarily say out-of-this-world good. The staff was also quite friendly.

For dinner while discussing work, in perfect surroundings, across from Theater an der Wien and Nschmarkt, a bit more elegant without being undeservingly snobbish. Perfect fish filet (branzino) with celery puree and crisp steamed veg, followed by caramelised topfenschmarrn...and until now i had thought a kaiserschmarrn was the zenith of viennese cuisine. definitely going back for more.

Whenever I am in Vienna I pay a visit. Their original viennese schnitzel is extremely good. It worth a visit.

I met friends (two of whom had eaten there many times) for dinner at Cafe Amacord and must admit I did not have high hopes based on the somewhat dated look of the place and the fact that the waiter took his time to show up at first. If I were a tourist, I would probably never set foot in... More

We went here on the recommendation of our hotel, Hotel Beethoven Wien. It's just across the street from the Naschmarkt. It was a hot day and the restaurant wasn't air conditioned, so we ate at a table outside. We had a nice, relaxing meal. The restaurant was popular with locals. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Delicious dinner in a quiet summer terrace. Tasty lamb cutlet incredibly juicy and soft. Rich portions that go well with the choice of wines and cocktaiks. However, we had to wait one hour to get food and we did not receive any compensation such as complementary drinks.

The Amacord has a great and extensive wine selection, and also a large menu with the classical Viennese meals. We had the "Schnitzel menu", which includes a soup (beef soup that day), a Schnitzel, and for dessert a rather large piece of Apfelstrudel. Needless to say, it was all excellent. Seating was outside on a warm summer evening, which was... More

Tucked down a scruffy side street off the Naschmarkt, with a few tables squeezed on to the pavement, this was a very good meal at a reasonable price. It felt more Italian than Austrian in its ambience. Not your typical Viennese starched waiter experience, much more relaxed and enjoyable. Interesting menu - the chef has some good ideas and executes... More

This lovely restaurant serves delicious, unpretentious food and the service is quick and friendly. The afternoon we went it was extremely hot and as with so many other places is Vienna, this place doesn't have air con, however they have a ceiling fan and they also opened a back door to make sure that we would be as comfortable as...
