The personnel was really nice, they are not Italian at all but still the pizza was ok, really big and reasonable price.

The pizza at Ruffino is quite nice and much better than in a lot of other places in that street. They have a real pizza oven. Only downside is that you don't have a nice place to sit outside in summer.

We set out from our hotel looking for a bite to eat on our first night in town - a Sunday - and were met with a lot of closed signs. We had walked several blocks and saw this place and thought we would give it a try. There was both outdoor and indoor seating but we only saw two... More

The restaurant looked nice, and was okay busy for a Sunday evening. The food tasted nice (huge pizza and lasagne), although the salad was very plain. What we didn't like was that they forgot to take our order and first served others coming after us. Then they took my plate away when I was finished, while my lady was still... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Monday night. It had a great ambience, polite staff and good quality food. We both had a melanzana to start with garlic bread sticks. It was delicious! Also a huge portion size! We saw the size of the pizzas and decided to share one for a main, even then we didn't... More

This is one of the few restaurants open for Sunday lunch in the neighborhood. We had no problem getting a table and the service was patient and professional. The pumpkin soup was very good. I also had the pike-perch in herb butter sauce with parsley potatoes and spinach. My husband had a broccoli cheese casserole as his entree. Another good... More

The pizzas are huge and very tasty. The music is lovely. Service is excellent: friendly and fast, they really take care of their customers. We would recommend it for lunch or dinner if you want to connect (i.e. discuss important matters) with your special one. We loved it, warmly recommended!

The restaurant is quite big and with friendly and fast service, but unfortunately the pizza was terrible. Definitely not a pizza the way an Italian would make it. The quality was very very poor (champignons/mushrooms where not fresh (from the tin), the ham was cheap 'cooked ham', the dough was very thick, etc...). For a restaurant, this is probably the... Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
