Seafood, included seal, restaurant! Its north Norwegian kitchen. This is back to reality, so to say, were the food definitely is in focus. The interior makes me in a good mood and I'm sitting there and really enjoy the more than perfect cooked cod and supplements. I feel I am in food heaven. You have to visit! Enjoy! Good luck!

The simple room belies truly excellent food. If you like seafood, Lofotstua is not to be missed. Great service, they were patient in explaining the extensive menu, and their recommendations were right on the mark. Highly recommended.

We were walking by Lofostua and decided to drop in. The restaurant was empty at 15:00, but they were ready to warm up the kitchen for us. The coalfish and wolffish were absolutely fresh and delicious. Service was attentive but not oppressive and was ready to offer us advice should we need it. I would not improve a thing. May... More

My wife and I ate here in June. It is very small and we would recommend making reservations. A little out of town, but the #12 tram stops right in front. Our fish dinners were excellent the the waiter very helpful in explaining the fish that was available and how it was prepared. The atmosphere was relaxed and we had... More

We went there for an early dinner to discuss business. In the early evening the place was quiet and we got first-class service. The place specializes in Norwegian fish of the wuite variety. It offers an exceptional selection of Italian red wine to match the fish.

Typical restaurant where you can eat very good fish. The owner is great: he suggests dishes and explains the local food with enthusiasm and competence. The prices are in the standard of Norwegian style. I really recommend it.

This place is not fancy but it has a lot of charms and serves very good fish. Small restaurant, with about 8 tables for 4. The service is very pleasant and the host is very happy to share about fish, food and the origin of their cuisine. So (if I understood right - and it supports my experience) what you... More

Found this restaurant on tripadviser and went there on the way back from Vigeland Park. The place is nothing fancy but the food and service were superb. Book a table before you go there as it can get very packed.

The best thing about this place was the service. The waiter was very nice and helpful describing the menu and all the different choices available. A must try for classic Norwegian seafood dishes. They also serve seal and whale steak if you like it.

Thank Andrew S
