The decor is a bit to fancy to my taste, but the service is competent and friendly. They even managed to show knowledge of wine and their winelist is pretty good. The food is uncomplicated with good produce and great taste.

The menu in this restaurant offers more variation than the typical Italian pizzeria in town. Something for everyone. We had starters and maindishes, all tasty and good sized portions. Can mention I had pizza here on previous visits, which is on the level as other...More

Found out about Ruffino in Lonely Planet and booked ahead which turned out to be a great idea because it was so busy. An excellent place to eat with an authentic Italian menu & extensive (& expensive) wine list. Really friendly & attentive service throughout...More

This is the best Italian we've had in Oslo! Good portions, very nice service-minded waitress and great location for tourists as it is next to Slottsparken. It's a little pricey and too stylish for me and my husband, (we felt a little bit underdressed)..but we...More

In our experience, this is a model restaurant. It started with the table for two that was ready for us at exactly our reservation time. A friendly greeting from the manager followed. The wine list was extensive although focused heavily on Italialian regions. Each region...More

My overall impression is that the food is good here, but seeing how the restaurant is #5 in Oslo, I expected so much more. I had carpaccio rolls for starter, signature sea food spagetthi for main and tiramisu for desert. The carpaccio dish was tasty!...More

Nowhere in Oslo is really cheap to eat and alcohol is expensive everywhere compared to other places in Europe. I consider Ruffinos to be "fine dining" and it is very good - but is priced accordingly. A prosecco aperitif... More

No parking that we saw, but it's located on a corner close to the main commons area in the city center, just a few blocks away from the National Theater, where I believe there's a subway stop.
