Very nice restaurant with a excellent wine cellar. Good food and the possibility to do a set menu or a ala charte. Bring you glasses if you eyes need more light than before.

Me and my girlfriend ordered one vegetarian dish and one vegan dish. We had made reservations the day before, to specify what kind of dish we wanted. When we arrived, the waiter - who was phenomenal - told us that the chef Kristine had already...More

Not only was the food amazing, the waiter's depth of wine knowledge was truly exceptional. And the ambience is so lovely. Candlelit only, cozy, warm setting with a feeling of history and tradition. We visit Oslo fairly often and I guarantee this is now our...More

We ordered a 5 course meal with wine. The staff was very friendly and eager to help and the food was very good. We have been here several times before and the atmosphere is great and cosy.

Me and my wife had a very nice dinner. The waiters were very knowledgeable and friendly and clearly had a passion for what they do. Overall, the place was very nice but not at all snobbish or overly pricey. Highly recommended.

Booked Klosteret for my wifes birthday whilst on holiday in Oslo and it did not disappoint. Romantic setting, great service and excellent food. Reasonably priced for Oslo.

Lovely venue, great waiter who gave great service, charming and professional. We had a lovely set menu, but the dessert let it down. the semi-freddo was like an ice brick and the ‘Swiss’ cheese was miserable. It was a lovely evening and I would give...More

As the others say, I'd say that if your children are a bit older and over the age where they like to play around then it would be fine to take them there. However, it's not what I'd call a family restaurant and I think that... More

Klosteret is situated in central Oslo - Hammersborg, beside the Deichmanske Main Library. The menu has a wonderful combination of continental and French dishes and the wine list is impressively diverse. The name Klosteret translates as The Monastery and there is a touch of the divine in the old brick arches lit by hundreds of candles and wonderfully calm atmosphere. A unique setting for a meal with colleagues, a romantic evening out or for guests from abroad - an unforgettable experience. The restaurant also has a Chambre Separée for private parties.
