It is very difficult to write a review about this restaurant, because my vocabulary doesn't have enough superlatives ! Everything from the way you are greeted, the locale , the food, the wines, the service is on such a high level that you cannot find words . When in Oslo and you want to treat yourself to a real culinary... More

This was a very nice dinner. Well deserved Michelin star. We had the 10 course menu and a wine package. Overall a good combination except from one match. The setting was old school and the service was attentive. We had a cute trainee who was a tiny stressed at times and asked us twice within 30 seconds if the food... More

Statholdergaarden is my favourite fine-dining-restaurant in Oslo. Classic well-known Michelin-quality food served by professionals. Chef Stiansen runs a tight ship and everything is made to perfection. The service is 100% and discreet and pleasant.

The evening started with a nice starter and Some good prosecco and this was the beginning of an excellent evening together with 3 close colleagues. The service was great, the knowledge of the food and the presentation of the dishes were top. The building itself has a great atmosphere and this makes the customers really relaxed and let's them enjoy... More

From the moment we arrived we felt well treated. I have lactose intolerance, and they modified the menú to suit me. Everything was delicious .

Located in one of the old buildings of Oslo, the restaurant offers a both elegant and cosy atmosphere. The food is excellent and the services of the staff remarkable good.

The very best 5 star restaurant in Oslo. Expensive, yes! but it is a treasure - wonderful flavours and a genuine setting - made my day!

This restaurant had a great tasting menu. Totally deserving of a Michelin Star. The food was well balanced. The wine knowledge was a bit lacking from the staff though. We ordered a glass of Chardonnay that was light on the citrus / sharpness and was brought out a port style Sauvignon Blanc. The staff was incredibly nice. The building is... More

Description
One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
