Kristiansund is the place to try Fish & ships in Norway (the locals calls it "fishan") Good value for a fast food choice in the center of Kristiansund

Alright, this joint had been an institution in this lovly city for ages. Usually they have served the best Fish And Chips in this neck of the woods. It's been a while since I was here so I was really exited stepping up to the counter to place my order. Guess what? The fish I got was not cod, wich... More

I have tryed their fish and chips several times and the sad part is that sometimes it does not taste good at all. Might be that the oil they use should be changed more often. Since i never know if i get a eatable one, or a horrible one i have stopped going there. Btw, it can not be called... More

If you like proper fish and chips, take a trip to Great Britain. What you get at this place or anywhere in Kristiansund these days, are soggy chips and greasy over cooked fish.

Fishanbua is a no nonsense fish & chips place down by the sea front, tiny inside and with a few tables outside. It's the only place in Norway I know of where you can get fish & chips British style. I've tasted better, but the atmosphere and location is unique, so highly recommended.

A must go place. There are two of these joints in this city. Both serve great fish and chips. Super quality white fish, anything else and they would gave been out of business a long time ago in a city like this where most people know what quality fish tastes like

I am from Trondheim. Years ago, I didn't know much about Kristiansund, but I had, of course, heard of Fishan. From å British POV, this is an OK "chippy" with good quality fish. For most others, it is a treat. For Norwegians (especially in Central Norway), it is å visit to THE Fishan in Kristiansund. Reasonable prices (for being in... More

The place was very nice, little and traditional! It has a pair of little tables in the internal area and some external tables. It offers fish and chips (take away too) , but in my opinion it's not so good as I found in other places in Norway (gerainger and alesund) that serves a more clear product (maybe the oil is... More

Ok by Norwegian standarts. I am not so fun of deep fried food, but when I am very hungry, i can accept. Smells terrible there inside, but you dont want to sit there anyways: the place is just one(or two?) tables
