London foodies of a certain age will probably remember the name Mirabelle. It epitomised restrained elegance in Mayfair. Although it closed down some time ago, its sister restaurant in Eastbourne not only lives on, but has recently raised the bar even higher with a stylish...More

This is undoubtedly the best restaurant experience I’ve had for a generation to this point. A five star gem of a pearl wrapped in the magnificent building that is The Grand Eastbourne. My partner and I were treated by a friend and business contact so...More

Although we don't consider ourselves foodies, we delight in splashing out on special occasions - see my review of the superb Le Saint-James in Bordeaux. Consequently for my wife's birthday, I wanted to treat her to reputedly Eastbourne's best restaurant in the only 5 star...More

I would imagine that the wines they offer will change depending on availability and the wines you choose dependant on the food you eat. We found the sommelier very helpful and informative

The Mirabelle opened in 1989 being named after its famous Sister Restaurant in Curzon Street, London, which was at the time under the same ownership. Immediately after opening, the Restaurant gained an enviable reputation and is featured in many fine dining guides as a consistent entry year on year. A modern approach to flavours and textures has always been an important aim. The French Plum variety found in the Lorraine region, the Mirabelle, is famous for its full and pleasing flavours. We trust that your meal reflects these characteristics combined with service that complements the efforts of the Kitchen.
