Camembert starter was a full size camembert with some seemingly part bake French stick. No trimmings. Huge for a starter but as husband's starter had not arrived after 15 minutes he helped me eat mine. Then his arrived. Black pudding, I would estimate a quarter of a slice crumbled over 4 scallops on a tablespoon of rocket. Main course for... More

I can't give a full review of Arlingtons as despite checking their website before we made a specific journey to eat there, we discovered on arrival that they where closed for a function. Very poor!

Lovely restaurant. Amazing food and atmosphere. The staff were also very helpful and quick service, which was great if you want to come here on your lunch break or something. Will 100% return

Celebrating my milestone birthday my friend treated me to a meal followed by a drama at the Wolsey theatre. Allowing time we ordered our meal and waited and waited. 40 mins passed and three tables around us had eaten. Asking a passing waitress how longer wait. We were abruptly told they were very busy, explaining we were going to the... More

Coffee tasted like nothing- had better instant. Possibly a poor coffee beans and/or boiled milk. Chicken and chorizo sandwich was nicely presented with a fresh side salad but chicken was far too tough. Easy chairs have seen better days and should be destined for the skip. Haven't been in here for a while. Will not be back any time soon.

My husband and I, my son and his girlfriend booked for a meal on 11th March to celebrate a new job. Firstly, when we arrived they advised that a couple of starters were off the menu along with a couple of the main courses. Given the fact that there wasn't a great deal of choice to begin with, losing some... More

Positives: The lift was working. It looked beautiful upstairs and the pianist was a lovely touch. Chocolate brownie desert was good. Negatives: It was pretty empty (first clue); marketed as French cuisine, but other than a Camembert starter, nothing vaguely French; food took ages; waitress had no idea what the house wine was as it was "only her second shift",... At Arlingtons with nearly 80 people at an International Women's Day fundraiser... lovely service, beautiful venue, and what must be the best Sunday tea in Suffolk! They did a great job.

Last night I came in with a party of 23 guests for dinner and I left extremely disappointed with the service and the quality of food. I had pre-ordered all of the food, right down to how people wanted the steaks cooked and with some things removed off dishes that people didn't like.  When I arrived I made sure that... More
