Very friendly staff serving good, homemade food. I had the best fish & chips ever. Also tried the steak pie with mashed potatoes, and this was really, really good as well. Kitchen closes at 8.00pm on Sundays. Located just 10 minutes from town centre, right next to the Park entrance on Bolton.

Our local pub and we love it, pleasantly surprised with the sharing board it was MASSIVE and the food was of such a high quality. Buzzing atmosphere and the perfect place for scrabble and a scotch egg - can't wait to have it again!

Have been here a few times. Nice atmosphere and setting and usually the food is good. Yesterday was a little disappointing as we were given a burger which tasted purely of garlic! Not what you want I'm afraid! Worth a visit but avoid the burgers.

Lovely Sunday roast, had the veggie option and it was very nice, great atmosphere as well and loved the fact that the place is dog friendly :D The only But I would say is that you have to order the food at the bar but that was not an issue for us. I would recommend this pub to friends and family

Great to come here with friends for a glass of wine. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the two ladies behind the bar were very friendly and genuine. Didn't try the food but it smelt lovely. Definitely will be returning soon!

Great pub! The staff are always really friendly and helpful. Fantastic service and a good selection of ales and spirits. What's not to like?

Following a walk around Christchurch park myself and a friend with my two Westies went for lunch at the Woolpack chosen as it is one of a few doggy friendly pubs/ eateries in Ipswich. We arrived early and there was a good choice of tables in the doggy friendly bar areas. The atmosphere is friendly , bright and inviting and... More

First problem was many large tables occupied by one person and no help given to find a table for 7. The menu was dull to say the least. The atmosphere was good and the staff were lovely. The food, as in most pubs, left a lot to be desired. It filled a hole is the best I can say about... More

Could not get a more friendly dog environment than this pub. A lovely American (i think) member of staff particularily stands out for customer service. This is a place that makes great coffee the ideal stop when half way round the walk
