Stopped here for a spot of lunch and the food was lovely and the service was excellent it was so nice to find a independent cafe that isn't a big fast food chain and be able to have a home cooked lunch I was very impressed and would highly recommend this little gem to everyone.

I decided to try this place out having seen good and bad reviews on here. To me the food was very good and service was excellent. I do agree that it is a little expensive. The big breakfast with a milk shake and black pudding, came to £10. But I don't mind if the food is good quality. There is... More

Went for a cup of tea and a cheese sandwich. Service was ok but cheap rubbery cheese on cheap white bread with cheap margarine cost almost £5.50. Never again. I live in London and that's about £2.50 too much. Would never ever eat there again. It's a back street cafe in Ipswich not the Park Lane Hilton !

I love central canteen but can only recommend for Breakfast as that's all I go for. I have had the pancakes, the full English and a variety of others too! It's great, can't recommend enough! The staff are lovely and the food is all freshly cooked to order, you can swap things around on the menu as well to suit... More

Visted this establishment as I needed some breakfast. Having visited here a few times before I knew whilst breakfast doesn't come with the greatest quality of produce, I would get a good feed. I ordered the large breakfast and my partner the scarmbled egg on toast, when it came my partners food barely had enough egg to cover the two... More

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and not knowing the area thought we would try a non mainstream place as like to support local businesses, admittedly it was about 30 minutes before they were due to close so were told straight away we couldn't have all the options on the menu which is fair enough. The pannini my... More

Popped in for "brunch". Lovely experience, friendly efficient staff. Reasonable prices and good choice. Will definitely return and they serve Fair Trade beverages.

Visited for breakfast around 10.30am although you can get breakfast all day. Good range of food to choose from and service was quick. Price was ok, not amazing value but you do get a coffee/tea and toast included in some breakfasts (and their coffee is amazing!). Really downside was the awful and horribly cheap sausages, worst I've had in a... More

Just popped in for a bite and a drink - its a simple cafe / canteen - with basic foods on offer like pancakes, breakfasts, all sorts and chips plus the usual sarnies, toasties and jackets. Plus a few more interesting items like asparagus and broad bean risotto - so good choice. Cheap, simple, basic and quick - if you... More

Food was over priced. Fried eggs were frazzled. When I comlained Icsaid I cannot eat them. The cook/owner disagreed and said they were perfectly fine
