The waitress was lovely to us, but our table was right by a radiator which was switched on full blast, it was too hot. No windows open. No air conditioning. The portion sizes are tiny despite how much they charge and the chicken I had made me very ill. Would not recommend for food, low quality and you're not getting... More

My Partner and I thought we would give the Shah a try as we are having a kitchen installed and cannot cook anything. Wish we hadn't bothered. One the menu they offered Franschoek Cellars Chenin Blanc S African wine so we ordered a bottle. We we tasted the wine it was dreadful and tasted like an assortment of left over... More

Stopped for a quick lunch as we were hungry. My meal was so awful that I couldn't eat it and didn't want to order anything else, as it put me off eating, despite being hungry. Only good thing to say is the staff were lovely and we weren't charged for the awful meal.

We like the Shah as you know what you are going to get with respect to quality. Always hot tasty food, pleasant staff and very good value. We've been eating in there for years, not necessarily regularly but it's always been a consistently nice place to eat, both rain and shine.

A group of us meet up at various times a year and for our Christmas dinner get together this year we booked at the Shah. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was good, particularly the starters and the price were reasonable. The only draw back was the woman who came round the tables in the restaurant area begging... More

As we were "staying" overnight, and late arriving to our FILTHY room, we had food here, we only wish we had travelled up the road to the Toby just up the road, lesson learnt, all the food is pinged and the fryups are cooked from frozen......Marstons....hold your head in shame, your room we had to pay before we had the... DO NOT go to this pub with a family. It is full of loud-mouthed, drunken, people swearing at everyone else. The people behind the bar are useless tools who seem happy to join in with the swearing instead of trying to stop it. WORST place in Poole (and that's saying something).
