Lovely place. The food was very nice, the chef definitely knows how to season and create his food pallette. I brought my mum here for a belated mother’s meal and it did not disappoint. She will not normally have three courses, and yes we shared...More

We had never been here before, so found it surprisingly small and were very glad that we had booked ahead, but well worth it as the food was excellent and the service was superb. Definitely an antidote to the usual sort of chain eatery.More

We serve fabulous homemade food, locally sourced where we can. Our menu will change with the seasons and we offer a small select wine list and bar. We are set in an historic Grade II listed Tudor building which was once owned by a wealthy merchant, Thomas Byngley, who became Mayor of Poole in 1555, hence our name. The painted ceiling in our dining room is noteworthy and believed to have been painted c.1830.
