My partner and I have visited several times, we love the historic building and the warm, friendly atmosphere inside. All low ceilings and exposed beams, The Tobie Norris has a charm to match its excellent food and drink. Service is usually good, and prices are...More

The food, ambience and customer service all super as usual. I must remark on the pizzas though - they seem to getting less & less doughy and pizza-like, and more filled of air and crispy and thin, like they have been stretched too thinly before/after...More

We popped in for a drink because we were drawn in by the building itself, and how busy it looked. Both my mum and myself are gluten intolerant, so were expecting to have to drink cider, but on the off chance I asked if they...More

This is a great pub that caters for slightly more mature people wanting good real ales and wines with an old traditional pub feel. The pizzas are very good but be warned, it can be very busy in the early evenings.

Good beer but annoying to be charged over £1 for lime & soda. Good choice if food and efficient service.

We went for lunch at this unusual restaurant. There are many small rooms with an odd mixture of furniture. The building is very old with wood panelling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When our lunch arrived - chicken in a box and game...More

Lovely staff, great food - had the game pie, excellent flavours and came with various vegetable accompaniments - the cauliflower cheese was delicious. Very busy, plenty of seating. Bookings aren't taken it's on a first come first serve basis so get there by 7pm.

I’ve been here a couple of times. The food is a bit hit and miss. Definitely variable. Early in the week it’s not very busy and can lack atmosphere. It’s an Old quaint pub and is probably a very different place at weekends.

A beautiful pub dating back to 1280AD full of character with a luxurious feel. Perfect for a coffee or a quick pint but also a special place for lunch and dinner. Now serving Sunday Roasts with meat from the owners farm 2 miles from the pub.
