Went there in a group and the place was packed, so we took an aperitif at the bar. I had a cracking classic Chardonnay (did not see the label) nice big glass, very well chilled, so good start. Food best described as "good, solid fare". Service excellent considering how busy they were.

We had been to the Siege House Year's ago but it has changed hands and been refurbished since then. The premises are brighter and have a comfortable feel. We were a large group and we all ate from the Sunday lunch menu. There was a reasonable choice and the food that I had was good and as far as I... More

Bit noisy in the bar whilst waiting for our table upstairs. Food was very nice could have had slightly larger menu but everything was hot and came together as there was a large group of us. Had Irish coffee which was not really hot enough.

Visited The Old Siege House for the second time, again not disappointed, four of us had dinner, various choices of garlic chicken, beef cheek, fish and chips and sirloin steak all cooked to perfection with desserts to finish all to die for, we will be back very soon for more delightful food and fabulous service from the friendly efficient staff!... Visited here again on Saturday night with my wife, and yet again we weren't disappointed. Although busy, staff were attentive and friendly as ever. Food was delicious, my wife especially enjoyed her lamb shank - will be returning soon to try afternoon tea!

My husband and I went to The Siege House for a New World wine tasting. He was an hour late due to travel problems, however the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They held our food back to be freshly cooked when we arrived and then didn't rush us. The chicken for main was very tasty and moist, I don't... More

Staying with son, wife and grandson close by on East Street, so a very handy venue within a short walk. Comfortable surroundings, tables not too close together and attentive but not intrusive service. The brasserie menu is well balanced with a good range of tasty dishes. We all ate three courses and for mains I chose the 'Duo of garlic... More

On Friday 3 March my partner ns I went to the Seige House for an evening meal. We eat out virtually every weekend and are always looking for a different place to eat. We like to dress up a bit, not too over the top but a change from jeans and sweaters. We thought we would give this restaurant a... More

We visited The Old Siege House yesterday for lunch on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't dispointed! We were warmly greeted and sat by the fire having a G&T waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, they have an extensive gin menu and an extensive tonic menu as well - which was a nice surprise. Two... More
