We visited this establishment the other night out of the blue. For a Monday evening it was very busy and as we had not booked a table we thought we might be going hungry! We were lucky as there were only two tables not booked. The menu was a reasonable choice of good, home cooked food, something for everyone and... More

Went up to Sidmouth for the day with our two dogs and needed somewhere that would welcome them as well as us. This place was perfect, lovely sign on the doors that explained everything. The barperson was very friendly despite being in a lot of pain with a bad back. The food was absolutely fantastic. All in all 5*.

Fantastic food and service despite us not booking and pub being busy. Read reviews before came out and the reality exceeded expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed, a tempting menu and superb food - steak was quality and cooked perfectly to instruction. Definite one to return to to try out rest of the menu!! Only negative was we were pipped to the post... More

Ate here 3 years ago and was pleased to return. A large eating area with tables and when darts matches aren't on can also eat in bar. A range of daily specials including fresh fish and a standard menu. There were 3 of us, I had a fish/seafood pasta, a very generous mixed salad, one had fish and chips again... More

Just arrived for Sunday lunch and gobsmacked we were turned away as our 11 year old daughter wasn't allowed inside to eat. They couldn't tell us the reason why and we're very rude. This pub is unfriendly and extremely unacommodating!!!

Our hosts from the Canterbury House in Sidmouth recommended us this pub. We went there two times for dinner and didn't regret it: to our opinon it's one of the best places in town! We liked the food very much and the service was very friendly and quick. Prices were favorable. All in all we felt very comfortable in the... More

Visited The Swan for a drink and a snack. Very friendly staff and good value for money. Will visit again when next in Sidmouth.
