Cannot fault this restaurant if you want a quick meal in comfortable surroundings. The staff work hard and nothing is too much trouble. Yes it's not fine dining but your not paying for it. Had the bubble and squeak with poached egg to start with my wife the potato skins £2.50. We had two main meals for £8.99 we had... More

Called here for food on Saturday evening as we weren't too hungry we ordered a sharing platter and a bowl of chips to share. Most of it was OK although had to remind them of chips, also the chicken used on the mini kebabs was awful. Saving grace was good pint(s) of Black Sheep and free soft drink refills for... More

Stayed over in Scarborough with the family for a few nights. As we booked room only we came here for some breakfast on a Sunday morning as it was very near our hotel. Never have I known so much choice (all buffet style) for such a small price. Plus children ate free..bonus!! Everything was very well cooked and the staff... More

Called into the Carousel, Brewers Fayre for a quick, light lunch. They had a special offer available - 2 starters for the amazing price of £2.50. We expected the portions to be smaller than the normal starters - but they weren't. We both opted for tomato soup which was served with two good sized slices of bloomer bread. We then... More

Service was okay. One of the bartenders was very good, the other was useless. I ordered a meal described on the menu as "giant atlantic haddock" I think the management need to get a dictionary and look up the word giant. It was half the size of your average fish and chip shop haddock and tasted bland. Won't be visiting... More

We were staying at the Premier Inn next door so stopped for dinner, bad idea. The food when it arrived looked as if it had been kept under a warming lamp & then reheated! It didn't look very appetising & it tasted the same, as for the beer why sell Real Cask ale when obviously the bar staff don't know... More
