I have been coming here for as long as I can remember and longer than that! My parents and their parents before them also came here. It is one of the more indulgent of our family traditions and it never disappoints. The place is extremely well maintained and spotlessly clean, the staff are all well turned out in the classic... This is worth the trip to Scarborough if you like ice cream. There are many choices from an old fashioned knickerbocker glory to bubble gum ice cream. We had the banana split and it was great. Only problem is it gets very crowded and seating can be an issue at busy times. Amazing loo with bright yellow walls. Well worth... More

A lovely bright and jazzy restaurant with plenty to choose from,we had a Bannanarama and a Mandarina they were very nice with plenty of fruit and the ice cream is delicious. A lot of staff for a small place but it gets you served faster.Well worth a visit when in Scarborough.

On the whole disappointed on this occasion. My wife ordered banana split it came with no cream. The staff weren't very helpful in fact quite glum. Horlivka was warm not hot. The waffles were cold. It was a busy day granted but we've been going here for years and I have to say not impressed at the level of service.

An ice cream parlour which not only sells the most delicious Ice Cream.... but is a hark back to earlier days with its glorious Art Deco feel.... it is CADDYS of Dewsbury by the seaside.... We visit here every time we come... roll on the next Scarboro Spa Express Hope you like my pictures

We went in there for breakfast on our last day. The waffles were really nice and so many options to them. The staff were very friendly and for 9am on a sunday that was a rarity for any place. Would go again if given the chance

Thank you for your review. We have never sold Latte's. We don't advertise Latte's. Lattes are espresso type coffee with hot milk. If you look around you won't find an espresso machine. We have only ever sold Nescafe with hot milk since 1960, that's 55 years and if as you comment,"we always come here for the first treat of the day", you should know that. Coffee with hot milk, if left for a short time, developes a skin. This confirms that it is made with fresh milk and is easily removed and I would imagine that if you make one a home, the same will happen. At £1-75, you would be hard pressed to find a latte at that price.I am not an expert on bread making, just it seems, on ice cream making and milk shakes. But on the basis , as you describe it, of a severely over proved bread bun you have PUBLICALLY condemed all the food we offer. Toasted sandwiches with home made coleslaw and salad, steak and sausage sandwiched all condemed.Doesn't seem to be a fair balanced review does it? But it is interesting to note that you critisize the price of £5-65 for a bacon and egg sandwich. Well I agree with you, that's why we ONLY CHARGE £4-50. so if you can't get the price right, how can anyone trust your review? In that price of £4-50 we have to pay 75p to the mafia in VAT. So at a NET cost to us £3-75, sitting at a counter, watching the cabaret of ice cream dishes made, and then perhaps a visit to our fantastically clean toilet, free, before you leave, what more can you expect? And don't forget, you can always speak to out Manager or our Supervisors, in the white uniforms, if your not happy. Giulian Alonzi v.g.i.c.m.m.
