Always come here and always top quality cod & chips with great service. Might have to wait a few minutes for the chicken but worth it.

Ok, so it says that this is "probably the best chip shop in the world" on the window, and I did visit at about 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, but I did find the staff not attentive and the chips the worst that I have ever tried... They were dry, lifeless cold and hard on the gums. Also they were... More

Awful! I've never had a fish cake that was so hard on the outside it was difficult to cut! Chips were limp & soggy. This place has never been the same since they got rid of the restaurant. My advice...AVOID! Never going back there again..

We had just moved into our first home and had no food on us so decided to get some food from here. We were not dissapointed! The chips are good, battered sausage delicious and fish good. Very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly. We've been here a few times since and sometimes the fish has been slightly under-cooked... More

Ordered large haddock and chips. Fish was Beautiful not much batter but a well cooked fish. Chips were quality. The problem occurred when I found hard scales in my mouth. I looked further and found that the skin was on and that is fine I like skin, but on closer inspection I found that this fish had not has the... More

I ordered a large cod and chips. I was told that there was no large cod ready so this would have to be cooked from scratch, which I was pleased with as I'd rather have this than something that has been sitting in the warming unit for a while. The fish arrived after about 6 or 7 minutes which was... More

The fryer (cook) was serving up fresh large cod as I was being served so I asked if I could have a freshly cook cod, I was told "NO I have to take them from the front"!!!... Whilst I understand that, to be honest the front cod looked like it been there some time (I am sure they will tell... More

The Fish and Chips are very nice but the seating is on high stools with a narrow bar like table that goes along a wall. The food if cooked fresh is very nice, but I recommend you take away rather than eating in.

Wish we hadn't eaten here...cold chips...which we complained about but no apology and it should of been very easy to rectify by cooking some fresh chips ! Would of took them 5 mins But this was not offered ...real shame as was so looking forward to fish & chips as it's not something I have often..more of a guilty pleasure...... More

Have just returned from this place, and have to say am very disappointed. The food was sub standard to say the least visibly dried up warm, not hot ,chips which I strongly suspect had been in the warming tray for a few hours,we made a complaint and were given more from the back of the tray ,these were no better as they...
