Took my Mum here for a Mothers Day treat (Saturday lunch) and her first visit to a Tapas Bar - The service, food, atmosphere - in fact everything was perfect - would recommend and will definitely revisit next time we are in Hay on Wye.

Not sure if it was just a bad night but the staff, while very friendly, were not particularly confident or professional. The food was fine but not memorable like some tapas bars we've been to in Spain and South America. There was a lack of authenticity with some of the food and it was more like bar snack food/small plates... More

My husband and I had lunch there on the strength of Trip Advisor recommendations and had 6 wonderful dishes. Pork meatballs, spicy chickpeas, king prawns, squid, roasted Mediterranean vegetable and a baked goats cheese. We couldn't fault a single dish. The staff were very pleasant and all in all I would definitely go back there. My only complaint was that... More

Situated on a corner position in this wonderfully historic town is this busy, buzzing serving wonderful Tapas with excellent staff, We stopped for a light lunch & found the whole experience wonderful. I was afraid that it would be a sparsely occupied restaurant, trying to make its way in this historic town, How wrong can you be, It was almost... More

Had an unexpected evening here last week. It was a wet and miserable Monday night and we found the recommendation for this place in a guide given to guests at the bnb we stayed at, Westbrook Court bnb (check out my review for that one as well). Not much to say other than the cheapest Rioja on the menu was... More

Not at all sure of where to eat with a toddler and a gluten free eater, we came across this restaurant. We all left happy and well fed. The food was tasty, the patatas bravas was a reassuringly substantial portion, with a good choice of wines, and a fabulous sherry for afters. Lovely open hearth and fire on the go... More

I had just come from a holiday in Spain and hey - an idiosyncratic Spanish Tapas Bar in the middle of Hay was just what I needed whilst the rain poured down outside. Ate there twice and the food was terrific as was the wine. Get there early as it is small and books out.
