Unfortunately this pub is now shut with a For Sale sign on the exterior. It was a pleasant inn so hopefully before too long some keen young enthusiastic new landlords will bring it back to life.

We spent an enjoyable evening in this pub. Sadly our dog was not allowed in so we had to sit outside on a rather chilly evening. Staff kindly put on outside heating for us which was nice.

We had lunch on 30th July, and it closed that evening. Pity, because the roast beef was a decent proportion of a good cut, and I'd rather that' farmers' approach' to food than some fancifully decorated small offering. We were able to retrieve our sunglasses...More

Had a delicious Sunday lunch at this establishment. It was very busy, but they squeezed us in. The roast pork was very tender and there were plenty of vegetables. Nice, friendly atmosphere.

Popped in on the off chance of finding a table on Sunday with my family. We all had the roast beef and it was absolutely delicious! The beef was served rare and was full of flavour and it was melt in the mouth tender. Yorkshire...More

We called in here for Sunday lunch on our way to Leominster. The staff were very pleasant and we ordered Roast Pork. The meal was okay, plenty of meat well cooked and some nice crackling but the vegetables were underdone, although I don't mind them...More

Had really nice evening meal. The main course was above the average pub grub and the desserts are really good home made puds

The Three Tuns dates back to the early 16th Century - although some records make even earlier reference to this, the oldest pub in Hay on Wye.Famous for its unique charm and character, Three Tuns became a popular haunt with local characters and well known personalities such as Jools Holland, Marianne Faithful, Neil Kinnock, Huw Edwards and some as infamous as the Great Train Robbers!Unfortunately the Three Tuns suffered a devastating fire in 2005, but a sympathetic restoration has brought life to the old building once again.Enjoy the huge inglenook fires, 16th century beams and the sympathetic new additions such as the garden room and large beer garden
