Couldn't have been more accommodating when we visited with a 5month old pup. After explaining we are training her to settle they reserved us a lovely seat in the corner of the bar area. Excellent choice of food on the menu, great value food with...More

Took advice from previous trip advisor guests and was not disappointed. First thing that I liked was I able to drive in and park, no hassle. (Saves having to go into a town or city). We hadn't reserved, but got a table ok. The menu...More

Visited with my parents for sunday lunch. Such a quaint, rural restaurant with polite, friendly staff and a great atmosphere! The menu is vast with a copious amount of choice. The food is delicious, home cooked cuisine, in ample portions!!! Literally couldn't fault it! SO...More

This was the first time since November 2016 that we'd returned to the Royal Oak. Nothing in for dinner and couldn't face shopping/cooking so a Sunday lunch was much looked forward to. Unfortunately, there was no beef left but not to worry, pork and lamb...More

Fairly poor offering the night we went! Pub food at its most average and sad. Lots of pre prepared frozen foods direct from the wholesaler I suspect.

Approximately 10 minutes drive. Straight out on the A515 to Ashbourne and take the right hand turn sign posted to Crowdecote and Longnor. We are then approx 800 metres from the A515 just the other side of the little bridge.
