Busy little place, lovely welcoming staff and a good food selection; Gordon Ramsey tells businesses to keep selections limited and they do this whilst maintaining a good selection - well done; our first visit to Buxton and “we’ll be back” !

The landlord was the rudest one i've come across in nearly 30 years of drinking. It was nearly deserted on a Saturday night, which should have given us the warning to avoid, but hopefully this review will. Definitely only for friends of the landlord -...More

We got off the plane in Manchester and drove through Buxton, looking for our first British pub. Found. Local beer. Friendly locals. And great fish and chips with mushy peas. We are in the U.K.!!!!!
glad you enjoyed
This bar is well situated in the centre of town. Bar was full of locals, were other bars were more touristy. Really good jukebox and not bad choice of beers, but felt like what it is, a pub for locals only
An utter mistake. The bangers seemed to be made from potted meat, except I can eat potted meat. I had one bite as did my wife. Seemed to be battered on the inside. The fish and chips were also wretched. What appeared to be a...More
