Eaten lunch food here before and it was fab. Ordered take away for delivery £40.00 worth for a few items and it was dreadful. Mushy and, tasteless. What a shame I keep trying to find a decent take a way in Banbury but to no avail. Wouldn't order take way from here again

Superb family run restaurant. Staff always very welcoming and friendly, and the food is exceptional. Good to go to a restaurant where nothing is too much trouble

Came here on friday 1st July with my girlfriend as we have been here before. As with last time we came the restaurant is very busy so advisable to book in advance. Very friendly welcome and service is quick. The food is very good with the portions a good size. Reasonably priced.

Second time at this restaurant, and again was happy with the service and the food, this time I asked for some Thai food that was not on the menu, they accommodated and the food was great, around 10.15, one of our party asked for a beer and was told they couldn't, serve any more alcohol, as the drink license finished... The Siam House does not look anything special from the outside but the food was very good so don't judge until you have tried the cuisine. I would advise to book a table in advance as the tables within the downstairs part of the restaurant are limited.

The menu was quite extensive and my family and myself had walked around Banbury for a couple of hours scoping a reasonable place to eat on a late Sunday afternoon. We were not disappointed by the Siam House. The waitress was extremely helpful and the food was lovely.

We had booked a table on a Friday night and were glad we had as the place was very busy. Despite this the service was attentive and quick. The food was excellent and good value for money. The prawn tempura starter was crispy and tasty. We had a Thai green curry which certainly had a kick and a Pad Thai,... More

Thai cooks have never been in the habit of recording measurements of ingredients or time of cooking. They cook by experience and
" feel" and the art of ancient recipes handed down in families, by practice.

The Thai make much use in their food with such condiments, seasonings, sauces and flavourings such as fish sauce ( nam pla), including cardamom, coriander, anise, and other seeds, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon.

Lunch is a light meal of noodles or fried rice. The main meal, one of rice with two or three dishes, is eaten in the evening. The dishes are not courses and are served all at the same time with plain steamed rice. You are meant to take a mouthful of this and a mouthful of that, some rice in between, in whatever order you like, enjoying the different tastes and textures of each mouthful.
