Lovely Sunday roast! Stopped off here on a visit to the Cotswolds, the beef roast was very nice. Nice open fire and friendly atmosphere.

We decided to stay here having seen it on "4 in a bed", especially as it was so dog friendly. We had dinner in the pub and were delighted with both the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. Dogs are indeed very welcome and were kept well fed with offerings of dog biscuits from the bar.... More
Visited at short notice for lunch after a recommendation while on a tour of the Hook Norton Brewery. Interesting menu and well cooked food. Beware the curry and chilli as a bit on the hot side but very good indeed!
Walked in at 2:05, tumble weed rolled through the bar as the locals stopped talking and stared. Are you still serving food we asked. (website said till 3 but thought I would ask) I need to see if the cook still has the kitchen still going was the reply. Yes, we were in luck..she was just about to turn everything... More
We stayed here for a wedding on Saturday night. As soon as we walked in the staff were extremely welcoming and within minutes we were in our room which was spacious and perfect for what we needed for the night. The food in the morning was lovely and the pub itself is a very night village pub. Would definitely stay... More
We stayed in the caravan & camping field behind the pub for a long weekend. Friendly place, very informal. We ate an evening meal and Sunday lunch, enjoyed both. Mains about £12-14, Sunday roast £12.50. Hook Norton Beers. Could benefit from a bit more effort in keeping things tidy / maintained (e.g. beer garden very untidy, used plates left out... More
The meal we ate at this restaurant was excellent. The food was clearly home made and well cooked. The service was also excellent. We were well looked after, but not rushed at all, meaning we could linger over drinks even though we had finished our meal. The food was reasonably priced for the quality and I would definitely recommend a... More
We visited Hook Norton for a week and ate at this pub twice during our stay. The pork belly was very tasty, as was the crab and the sausages. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The dinning room was slightly dark which was a shame but apart from that the pub is definitely worth a visit.
Went on a Friday evening for a birthday meal for one of our party of 6. 1st impressions were OK; reasonable space round tables but a bit dark. Service was “enthusiastic” with many references by the guests to Fawlty Towers. No real complaints about the menu and food but we had a feeling that the kitchen had overstretched themselves a... More
Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, reasonable selection of beer all well conditioned. Food selection was fine for a pub, we were a little disappointed with the sandwiches as they used run of the mill ready sliced bread which let the fillings down ,local ham,and belly pork, all served with potato skins and a small salad.they were a...
