Tamburino's first restaurant was opened in Yeovil on the 27th February 2005 bringing the town a true taste of Italy with our wonderful traditional cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.Owner Domenico Taravella is from Sicily, where passion runs deep. No more so than the passion for food and hospitality. In fact, Domenico began his restaurant career at the tender age of 14 - not surprising, because as he says, "Food and drink are part of the culture of my country. We embrace them at a very young age"
All reviews pizza tagliatelle tiramisu mussels cake chicken steak italian food great atmosphere happy birthday lovely evening birthday meal food was amazing fantastic meal be visiting again domenico tambourines
We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant, run by Italians with a proper Italian menu (not ‘Anglo-Italian’). Brilliant high energy staff. Have returned already and will no doubt return again.
Time spent with family, enjoying dining on the terrace. Fabulous food enjoyed by all. We had the Penne Dolce Vita, Florentine Pizza, Margarita Pizza, Calazone, Gluten free Pizza, lasagne and Spaghetti Bolognese. Clean plates all round. Made to feel welcome as always. Thanks to the...Taburino team for great food and service.More
On the way back from the SW we searched for the best place in Yeovil to eat and Tambourino came up. We were not disappointed. Perfectly al dente, delicious pasta, attentive service and a lovely outside terrace. Highly recommended.
Everything was good. The waiter made us feel great and his service was super. He got all the requirements as two of the children has food intolerance. He was patient and nit rush on us. Thank you Carmine, we need more good service as yours!!!...Brazilian, English and Hungarian family!!!!More
Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, family friendly, great personal service. We were a party of 6 with 4 kids and we were so welcomed and so friendly and caring to the kids. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be life long customers
Went to Tamburinos tonight for my birthday dinner, it was our first time out together in months and we couldn’t have chosen better. The food was exceptional and the service is fast and friendly and I would highly recommend to all. Authentic Italian food and...atmosphere, such a lovely treat.More
We had the opportunity by chance to try one of the best Italian restaurants we ever tried in the UK. Tamburino restaurant made us feel at home and the Sicilian touch is definitely an exquisite experience. Here you will find the true typical Italian food...even specialities from our lovely Island (Sicily) in the South of Italy, from the wine (good selection, we obviously opted for a "Nero d'Avola") to the incredibly tasteful "Arancine" and Sicilian sausage with potatoes! Pasta is a must, perfectly "Al dente" and large portions! As expected, the whole staff is very friendly and professional even at peak times, and the owner was very welcoming and it was nice to have a drink together after dinner to know more about Tamburino's history. There are 3 in the area, so make sure you don't miss any of them!
Thanks for an amazing dinner!More
Pasta - excellent
Atmosphere - excellent
Cocktails - awful! So sweet & watery
Service - pretty rubbish and slow
All in all, simply because of the main course alone, I'd recommend this place. However, they had clearly overbooked. The waiters were running around like mad,...they didn't ask if your meal was okay or if you needed anything, they tried to chuck parmesan on my dish without even asking and I can't eat it, we had to do our own pepper (with the big grinder) and they took about 20 mins to bring over 3 simple drinks. Also one of them was wearing his mask around his chin and then later, not at all. Rubbish customer service but very good pasta.More
Today I went to Tamburino in Yeovil . Fantastic food & outstanding service . I can’t fault it .
The weather played a big part with being able to dine out on the outside Terrace .
The menu is extensive with plenty to choose from..., so something for everyone I think , along with value for money too.
A 10% service charge has now been added to the bill , but I believe this is worth every penny as they offer a fabulous service as always .
Thank You to all the staff & lovely to see even once again . 😉More
