We'd never been here before just heard some good things and had recommendations from friends to go. Now we can't wait to go back! The staff were really friendly, the restaurant itself feels like you could be on holiday (probably helped it was one of he hottest days of the year) and the food was amazing, we had tortilla chips to start with lots of different salsas, guac and sour cream followed by the best burritos we've ever had. The whole menu is really accommodating for anyone with dietary requirements, nuts/milk/vegans/gf-ers etc and really affordable with good portions (huge burritos!).
They also have lots of covid safety measures in place (tables are spaced out, staff have visors, anti-bac around etc) so it all feels very clean and safe for a relaxing evening out!
Couldn't recommend it more!

We gave this place a whirl for somewhere different to eat when we were in Worthing. And we were so pleased we did!
The warmest of welcomes was followed by a helpful explanation of the menu, including some recommendations. Service is relaxed and the whole atmosphere is very chilled.
We shared some sweet potato and feta burritos and halloumi tacos, with a side of spiced aubergine with feta and walnuts - simply yum.
The dishes were slightly adjusted to our requests without fuss and staff were attentive and friendly.
2 pudding choices - cheesecake was gorgeous and we had a cafetière of good coffee all for
£41 with a beer each.

Visited with my two children. Service prompt and helpful, suggested trying different samples of salsa to gauge level of spice. Food fresh, delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful.

Returned to this fantastic Mexican cantina last night. The food is simply amazing; freshly prepared and really flavoursome. The burrito is an absolute must and so filling that the lovely American waitress is more than happy to wrap it for takeaway.
Despite the restaurant not being packed to the gills as it usually is, it doesnt lose its intimate charm and atmosphere. Oh, the Margheritas are awesome!

A group of 11 visited this Mexican restaurant last night… I’d called up about a week before to give our order & pay a small deposit.
The service was outstanding, very relaxed atmosphere & delicious food! We loved it.

First visit. Wasn't sure what to expect really, as Mexican isn't - or wasn't - my thing, but was really impressed. The food is really fresh and it shows. Delicious cocktail. The service was attentive, without being intrusive, and the whole thing was brilliant value. I look forward to a return visit after lockdown.
The only thing that would have improved it would be to have really good coffee after the meal, but that's just a minor point made by a someone who likes a decent flat white to round things off!

We visited for the first time yesterday and the were blown away by it.
Restaurant has a great vibe inside with great lighting / comfy seats - I especially loved the playlist. Staff are great too - friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was a different level. The waitress kindly explained things so we had a great selection that was the perfect amount of food. Highly recommend the prawn tacos.
Can’t wait to visit again.

I arranged a group of 21 people for a colleagues retirement, I had never been before so was unsure what to expect. From the arrangements to the evening everything went smoothly, no problems at all. Mark and his team worked really well together everyone had their food at the same time, beautifully presented and delicious.
The only complaints I heard were people were too full up they enjoyed it so much! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and looking forward to going back.

Had the pleasure of dining at Salsa Viva last week to celebrate my Mums birthday: a small restaurant with 8 tables perhaps, and a couple of very attentive staff staff situated on the edge of Worthing town centre. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. The lady who took our food order was very knowledgeable about each dish and helped steer those with food allergies to the best dishes for them.
The food was delicious- we started with tortillas and dips for all the share, freshly cooked, they put any packeted effort to real shame.
Main courses followed swiftly afterwards, and we were truly stuffed by the time we rolled out the door at closing time!
A real gem of a restaurant for those wanting an independent eatery with a personal touch, can’t wait to return.

Having dined at Cantina on a couple of occasions and enjoyed everything about it, it was my number one choice restaurant for a suprise birthday party for my wife. After speaking to Mark and explaining we wanted sole let for a private party on a prime Friday night he couldn't have been more accommodating even allowing us to bring our two labradors with us. He organised a bespoke menu for 23 guests without question and boy did he deliver!!! The food was superb and the service impeccable, we ate, drank, sang and danced and created memories that will last forever. If anyone is searching for a great little restaurant for a table of two or even twenty two then this is the place to come you will not be dissapointed. Thanks again to Mark and Sue.. Neale, Sarah and doggies...

This was my second visit, and my friends first. We were welcomed in and shown to our table, once settled we ordered drinks, and Karl, who served us, ran through the menu with us. We had the 'full works tortilla chips' which was delicious and moreish, and my friend had the 'sweet potato and guacamole burrito', and I had the 'king prawn quesadilla', which was also delicious. Really good portion sizes. Top class service by Karl and wonderful food by Mark.

Very small, friendly waitress. Menu consists of tacos, burritos and quesadillas, all elaborately prepared. The title 'Cantina' describes the ambiance adequately. We're not Mexican food fanatics, and we were surprised at the lack of fajitas and chilli, but the food was well presented and tasty. Distancing between the tables was good, despite the compactness of the restaurant. Nothing wrong with the food or the restaurant, but just a bit too authentic for us!

The staff are knowledgeable, chatty and friendly which makes sitting in for a meal there worth it. We love Mexican food and this is the first place we have found that is truly authentic and that they really care about the quality of the food. Mushroom tostada is a must!

Eaten here several times. Truly a relaxing and enjoyable place to eat. Tables are booked so that service is staggered meaning that food arrives promptly. The flavours are so good (esp mushroom tostadas) and service friendly. Choice is not vast but there is plenty for most tastes - we veggies were well catered for. Puds absolutely deeeelish! Prices are reasonable and service charge is added on. We just keep going back!

We had the best evening at Salsa Viva Cantina. Their food was so tasty, portions were generous and their customer service was brilliant. The decor gives a really authentic Mexican vibe. I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone.
