Great Good. Great Service.
This is a total gem of a place. The coffee is great, there’s a genuinely warm welcome from the staff, and the food is great.
We ordered the smashed avocado and feta on sourdough, with 2 poached eggs (extra); and the halloumi, hummus on sourdough (instead of rye).
It came hot, tasty and in really generous portions. My eggs were beautifully cooked with lovely runny yolks. The avocado was fresh and creamy with enough chunks for good texture.
The coffee is great - we had 2 each.
A small jug of water is served without having to ask. Small caring touches that make all the difference.
We’ll definitely be revisiting next time we take a break in Worthing. For me, this bistro has the best food, service and value for money of all the bistros (4) that we ate at.
Oh, and the cakes!!!

I came into Malt for the first time with my daughter and granddaughter we had the most amazing time. The waitress helped as my daughter has funny eating habits and went through the entire menu with me on what she could have. We eventually found something she would like and she certainly did love it. The barista was very a lovely man too both very welcoming for a Tuesday afternoon when they had lots to do. Thank you for being so lovely. Will definitely be returning soon.

Visited for breakfast, we were immediately welcomed, as was our small well behaved dog. The staff were friendly and coffee/food great. My husband had the scrambled eggs/smoked salmon on toast and raved about it. Highly recommend.

Absolutely adore this place, great food and service every time we visit. Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere. Quality coffee and soft drinks together with tasty cakes and hot offerings. We had a three night stay in Worthing recently and ate here at least once every day. This is our go to cafe of choice when we are visiting Worthing because it’s just so good and the staff genuinely care about your experience. I highly recommend Malt, if you’re in the area do yourself a favour pop in.

This is another one of those places that really doesn’t need another glowing review, but here goes anyway. First the stats; 300 reviews on Google with an average of 4.8 out of 5. On this site, 164 reviews – over 90% either ‘Very Good’ or ‘Excellent’. Speaks volumes.
We turned up on a cold but sunny Monday morning in early February. Nearly all of Worthing was closed – probably since the beginning of Covid, or certainly for most of the winter. Despite the bad press, Worthing is not Zimmer Frame City, but you do have to look for the nice places to eat – and Malt Café is one of them.
Firstly, the coffee was divine (that was a good start!) – beautifully presented and rich in flavour. The cooked breakfast ticked all boxes too – again, flavoursome and no scrimping on the portions. The service was great (and very friendly) too.
One word of warning; I suspect, for obvious reasons, it gets rather busy at most times.
Well, it would do, wouldn’t it.

Visited this Cafe on several occasions and have always had exceptional service, friendly and engaging from all of the team - but especially Robin who is paramount in attracting me back for further follow-up visits. Food is well presented, tasty and well cooked. I also caught my eye on the chef who, unusually was very well presented in spotless 'whites'.
As for Robin, she is an asset to the business and must surely be worth her weight in gold. The South African manager is also a good looking guy and offers great service. :)

What a great addition to the Worthing scene and a true sign that cool is coming to Worthing - 2 words not often seen together!! (All coming from the east overhyped Hove and Brighton). Great coffee, adn delicious food, served in a wonderful space by a charming team. Best of luck to them all - you deserve it.
My only constructive critique is if they should try to speed up the food delivery!! To wait 45 minutes for a simple scrambled eggs cannot be good for the business’ table turnover. I can see all cooked fresh and to order which is to be applauded, but i worry about the business!! This place is too good to lose.
We will definitely be back.

We visit here most weekends, for coffee and cake or lunch. I always have the scrambled tofu for lunch, which is out of this world. This is served with granary toast and vine tomatoes and I add avocado and vegan sausage. If you really want to push the boat out have their vegan bacon which is insanely good! 😋 You cannot beat the customer service in this lovely cafe. Robyn and colleagues are excellent.

A really nice cafe with a great relaxed atmosphere, which for a Sunday morning was very busy and we were really looking forward to trying this place out. The staff are really nice and friendly however our experience was unfortunately not that good. We ordered breakfast and a couple of coffee's and after 30 mins we were still waiting for our food, but we wanted to give the place the benefit of the doubt however after a couple of new tables filled up and got there food in around 10 mins we asked where our food was. By this time we had been waiting for 45 mins. We were told all the food was slow however no explanation as to how the new customers had been served so quickly. Our food eventually came just over an hour after us ordering but it was clear that this had been rushed to put it together as it was dry and not well presented. I think they just forgot about our original order. To be fair the lady who came to speak to us offered to not charge us but we were so gutted to have had this experience that we wont visit again.

Visited here last week for breakfast and so good I returned a few days later. I had the full carnivore breakfast which was cooked to perfection; so good to find a cafe that can cook poached eggs properly!! The staff are friendly, professional and efficient. Really great interior design; clearly well though. out and a great vibe! Definitely will eat here again; oh, and the coffee is superb too!

The Malt Cafe is situated in Worthing’s West End. It is a very clean, well laid out and has efficient and friendly staff.
The service was very good with very little waiting time. There is a reasonable menu as well as a selection of fresh cakes.
We ordered coffee and cakes. The coffee was tasty and the cakes were fresh tasting with lots of flavour.
Our visit couldn’t have been better. Recommended.

Best brunch in Worthing by miles. Beautifully designed space. Perfect coffee and an excellent selection of brunch options. We’re big fans of this wonderful cafe and the welcoming staff that make it such a great experience.

Me and my partner have been meaning to pop to Malt for ages but everytime we have passed it's been packed so haven't gone in.
So we went super early (well early for us) at 9.30 on a sat morning.
It was actually more spacious than I thought inside.
I ordered a savory waffle with pesto and spinach with 2 poached eggs.
One word "Unbelievable" damn it tasted good, presentation was superb.
My partner had the herbivore fried breakfast which naturally I pinched a bit of and that was again "unbelievable"
Great staff, very attentive and welcoming, we will defo be visiting again.
Oh yea I tend to drink water with my meals and we had a regular topped up jug so that's a little extra.

A rare example of Brighton/London quality in Worthing. Simon, the owner, used to run one of the best pubs in the Brighton Lanes, so he knows what good looks, sounds and tastes like! The coffee was expertly prepared and the food was excellent. The decor is stylish but welcoming; he’s even got the background music spot on. This is a place of affordable sanctuary for Worthingites, so please support them and make it a lasting success.

Cosy and welcoming. The full English breakfast is amazing. I haven't got around to trying anything else because it's so good. The pancakes look particularly nice... can cause breakfast envy. Great coffee too... friendly, warm service. My only criticism is that it's so popular, I sometimes can't get in. I guess booking a table would overcome this but I like to be spontaneous.
