Been before and enjoyed their Grand Anglais but this time it was without beans and was all piled on a slice of sourdough toast! Good but only realised no beans when overheard server telling another table. Partner’s eggs on toast requested with spinach was fine, but the bill was full price, which for eggs on toast alone was a bit steep. In fairness when this was pointed out they knocked £2.50 off, so that was fine.
Do like the place and the ambience, but it has stiff competition from its neighbour the NRG Cavern in terms of food and pricing.

This place is perfect for a coffee, snack or lunch. It stands out from other cafes in the town due to the original and authentic french menu. No jacket potatoes with cheesy beans here!
My friend hosted a private dinner here for her birthday on New Years Eve. There were 8 adults and 8 children in our group and we had exclusive use of the cafe. We were given a stunning set menu to choose from and all of the children were catered for too.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming and work so hard to ensure the food is of the highest quality. I always suggest this cafe to friends and visitors. Thankyou!

We have just had an excellent lunch. I had one of the specials, French onion soup, my partner had the chicken shawarma and our little one had personalised sandwich - she can be a little picky. This shows the excellent service in this great restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. There is a great atmosphere, comfortable seating and plenty of choice. We will definitely return.

First visit here lovely service great vibe, even though i visited this cafe by myself felt very comfortable and welcome just loved it. Asked for recommendations for a vegan dish and was presented with a bowl of goodness ,forget the name but it was a hot tasty comforting bowl of vegetables and pulses just what was needed on a cold rainy day ...perfectđź’š. Thankyou

Between us we tried most of the dishes on the limited, but very appealing, menu (4 starters and 4 mains, each with one vegetarian option, plus a dessert menu). All pronounced delicious. For four diners the bill came to ÂŁ155.20, including the set price three-course menu at ÂŁ25 per person, plus beer and cocktails, wine (a very nice Pinot Noir) and water and a couple of glasses of Calvados. Service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Stopped for coffee at Bungaroosh Cafe in Worthing and ended up having the most delicious warm foccacia with aubergene and hubby had the best salt beef bagel he can remember. Commented that the salt beef even topped that from the famous Brass Rail bar in Selfridges which is saying something. Then we found out that all the breads, pastries and as it turns out salt beef are made in house. No wonder it is all so fresh and tasty. This is definitely a real gem and we will return. Lovely team serving who just can't do enough for you .... all COVID protocols including outside seating. Eat local, cafe like Bungaroosh deserve to do well.

My friend and I had lunch here on Tuesday this week. She tells me the salt beef bagel was delicious: my chicken and avocado on gluten-free sourdough was divine with properly ripe avocado and plenty of chicken which I think had been cooked with a slightly spicy/jerk seasoning. The side salad was so interesting and delicious I could have eaten a whole bowlful. The coffee was outstanding, we had a double espresso, a cappuccino and flat whites after lunch. A generous portion of top-notch chips completed our selection.
Most of all, our server was first class. A youngster with just the right blend of attention to customer and sense of humour. We left him a nice tip! Highly recommended.

Without a doubt the best place for breakfast in worthing !!! Went for a late breakfast first time eating in this place. Highly impressed !! Being a chef myself for over 8 years you can taste the love put into the food by there chefs from the homemade baked beans and sour dough bread , the oven roasted tomato
garnished with pink peppercorns and a salt garlic crumb you can even taste the white wine in the pan fried creamy mushrooms. All seasoned to perfection and only ÂŁ7.50 !!! Anyone putting that much love into a breakfast has a true passion for what they do. Hats off to all the guys at bungaroosh will defiantly be a regular from now on !!

Lovely cafe not far from the seafront, very tasty food & drinks. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. My other half has had the salt beef sandwich a few times and says it’s super tasty! Support our local businesses and give this cafe a try you won’t be disappointed.

The food is five star/really really good but beware they are often closed or close early. This has been a real pain a number of times where they were unexpectedly closed or had reasons for closing early or not serving food past 130pm. Shame as I really try to support local independent businesses but end up eating at big chains.

I have been to this French cafe a couple of times now, and I must say everytime it has been stop on.
On our last visit we had a breakfast and it was the best, the bread is homemade to the baked beans. For us this is now our new favourite spot for breakfast. đź‘Śđź‘Ś
Keep up your good work guys!

This is a lovely place to eat and a great addition to Worthings eateries. The food is excellent quality, the decor is elegant and full of charm, but... they do commit the cardinal sin of not serving their breakfasts after midday. Something I never understand cafes doing. What makes it even more frustrating is that every element which makes up a Bungeroosh breakfast is available for you to order as an "extra" throughout the day, so clearly there us the wherewithal to make the breakfast, but for some reason a refusal to put it all on one place after midday.

Thank you for your review. We are very glad that you love the food that we produce. We understand your frustration at not being able to order one of our main breakfasts after 12 noon. When we first opened, our breakfasts were available all day but we struggled in our tiny kitchen to produce both breakfasts and lunches at the same time without slowing down the service considerably. It frustrates us too but that is the reality of having such a small working space. As we have got busier our breakfasts are generally sold out by 12 anyway. The components of the breakfasts are available as extras, as people will order these regardless of whether they are on the menu or not, and we simply wish them to be aware of the price.
We appreciate your feedback, and are in consultation at the moment to decide how we can rectify this problem. In the meantime we have some delicious options on the menu which are great for both breakfast and lunch, and we hope you'll be back soon to sample them.
Best wishes
Sally

Mark and I got married last Saturday, 11th September. We hired a marquee for our garden, and had approached Bungaroosh earlier in the year to see if they could cater for the event. Happily they said yes! They came up with a fabulous bespoke menu for us, (taking into account veggies and vegans). On the day the food looked AMAZING, and our guests commented on its deliciousness and abundance!!! We can't say thank you enough!!! We heartedly and joyfully recommend Serge, Sally and the Bungaroosh team for helping make our day spectacular! If you have not eaten here yet don't delay. Thanks again - love Mark and Nikki Leitch.

Since this lovely little place opened I’ve been a regular. Not only do they have a great choice for breakfast, they have a fantastic lunch menu. They often have very interesting and delicious specials which mean’s there’s usually something new to try. The staff are always very nice too.

Came here for a late breakfast. The cafe decor is modern but also warm & inviting. The waitress took our drinks order quickly & the drinks arrived & were perfect.
Then the very friendly Sam took our order & knowledgeably answered our questions about the menu. We didn’t have to wait long before our meals arrived. The presentation of the meals was beautiful & the portions were also very generous. I regret not taking a photo, as I’ve never seen such well presented cafe food.
However, it was the taste and flavour of food itself which was the best part. The sourdough was perfect, nice crust & sliced to the right width (& did I mention the very generous portions - which we surprisingly finished).
But it was the flavours that were outstanding. Many cafes provide standard eggs, avo, on sourdough, but this cafe’s version was so elevated. Even after I left I could still taste the incredible flavours. I don’t think I will try anywhere else and the prices were very reasonable too!
Although it’s nice to be down one of the quieter Worthing streets, with a sea view (if you sit outside) - this cafe needs better signage so others can discover & enjoy this cafe.
Thank you to the chef/owners & staff.
