Stoped here on a very wet rainy day prior to viewing a property in the area, and was not disappointed, really nice friendly staff, very nice sandwich and fries, cosy atmosphere. I liked it would go again for sure

Our first visit to the excellent pub. We met friends for lunch, varied reasonable priced menu, food tasty & well presented. Very friendly staff, the pub is nice and cosy with an open fire. Will definitely return.

Pleasant looking hostelry in the Ashdown Forest. Usual boutique rustic interior. Rather sullen barman and warm beer. Fly-blown and unexciting menus. Pub lacked atmosphere and it may have just been a bad day, but it’s hardly tempting to return.

The ladies toilets are quite small but there is another toilet outside of the pub, but is part of the pub, which may be more suitable. I'm not sure if it's ladies and gents, so best call ahead and ask for either Dave, Seb... More
