Best beer garden in Salcombe, good view and an excellent selection of beers, some tasty real ale and a good traditional pub menu, nothing too fancy food wise but it'll do to line your stomach for a drinking sesh, the Mrs enjoyed her glass of...More

Popped by for a drink several times during our stay in Salcombe....it was a nice 'go to' pub when in need of a break from the sun and shops! Good service and prices. Nice sized garden overlooking the estuary....looks a little tired though and in...More

We booked in for dinner and asked to be seated in the restaurant as opposed to the bar. We were given a brilliant table next to the window so all four of us had a brilliant view of the estuary. The waiter was very friendly...More

Dear DSC12309 I am sorry you feel like we have dropped in standard but is the fact we do not sell cake a fair reason to be so disappointed with us. It isn't something we are currently advertising and I don't believe we are the...More

We had a lovely meal on the terrace, the food was excellent and the views are stunning. The waitress was rather moody, we arrived just before the deadline for lunch orders - so she wasn't too happy, but that's life.More

Atmospheric bar with superb views but décor tired and seats worn thread bare, Bar man is welcoming to customers and works hard unassisted. Food ok pub grub but plain and over priced. Recommend have a pint here but eat down the road.

We visited Salcombe during an unseasonably wet & windy week in June. We tripped over this pub by accident drawn by its water front location and offer of shelter under an umbrella overlooking the estuary. Don't expect fine dining.... it is most definitely basic pub...More

How long ago was it that you stopped selling 'scrumpy' in the garden overlooking the river?

Answer
Response from John I |
Does that mean you are now selling it again as I understood that many years ago it was stopped at the request of the river authorities due to sailing accidents by inebriated sailors!
