Stopped over at the Prince of Wales while travelling in our motorhome from Wales. The Landlord and Landlady ( and locals) were very welcoming and friendly.....Enjoyed a very nice steak meal and overall a very pleasant evening. Definitely worth a visit when in Ross-on-Wye.....

Came here for a spot of lunch a couple of months ago. My husband ordered the mixed grill. I had steak. My meal was OK, however, my husbands bacon was burnt, and i mean burnt to the point of cremated!! He wouldnt complain so i did, to the waitress, and her words were ( I LIKE MINE LIKE THAT) what... We visited this restaurant on a Sunday about 5pm with 2 young children. The carvery was still available but looked a bit dried out, but in fairness it was finishing at 5pm so we decided to order from the regular menu. The kids had sausage and chips which was excellent and pizza and chips, the pizza i failed to cut... More

Thank you for your review. But I'm afraid my point still stands that if you wish to change anything on the menu, it's obvious that you do not ask the chef and you enquire at point of order. The chef is employed and is therefore paid as an employee and does not have the authority to make decisions involving discounts.... More

Called in for something to eat and we were pleasantly surprised. The menu suited all of us and was extremely good value. We ordered our meals and told there would be a thirty minute wait, that was not a problem I mean I could not cooked our meals in thirty minutes at home. I really don't understand people who chose... Called in for Sunday Lunch after googling 'Carvery nearby' whilst driving home. The food was delicious. Beef, turkey and pork available and was so tender it practically melted in the mouth, wide selection of vegetables all perfectly cooked. Exceptionally good value for money with very generous portion sizes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return when we're in... More

Waited 45 minutes for 2x baguettes and chips. Staff were reminded that we were waiting twice during the wait. When the food eventually arrived the chips were burnt!!! Won't be coming back here in a hurry and if you do decide to come for food, bring a packed lunch to eat while you wait. The restaurant could be so much... More

Thank you for your review. Firstly may I just say that your wait was due to us being completely packed out, as when you arrived the only seats available to you were the high seats by the bar or the sofas, you chose the high seats. You were advised upon ordering that there would be a wait of at least... More

We went at about 12.30pm on a Sunday. They do a carvery but we fancied something off the regular menu. We placed our order at the bar and it wasn't exactly busy probably about 10 other tables seated by the carvery we chose to sit by the bar as it was much much quieter. 40 minutes passed and we still... Thank you for your review. It's a shame you've had a negative experience with us on a Sunday. May I just point out that at 12.30 on the Sunday of your visit, you had to sit in the bar because all other tables in the restaurant were either full or reserved. Due to the sickness bug going around we were... More

Popped in on a very long journey home. So glad we did! We received a very warm welcome. Bought our drinks and carvery ticket and went through to the carvery room. The guy carving the meat was very friendly and helpful, chatting to us about our day. My partner chose turkey, beef and pork and I had turkey and beef.... More

We were totally disappointed by the food we had served recently at the Prince. Firstly we were all surprised by how quiet the pub was, hardly anyone around at all.food was straight from the freezer & everything was chips & peas!! Nice & clean & friendly staff, but they must up there act on the presentation of the food served,... More
