This will be a very honest review, after our visit for pies and a drink. We came based on the very high reviews given here. I think that 3 stars is being generous. The "connoisseur" pies are Pieminster pies, which are made in Bristol and...More

No fuss , no portion controls - just a damn good selection of well made pies, chips and your choice of beans/peas and gravy.. Real ales and a massive selection of malt whisky. What more could you want, very popular and deservedly so.

This small pub offers a selection of superb pies (served with chips)(unless you add mushy peas or gravy). They are top pies - nothing more needs saying. Local beer - Caledonian’s Gold, when I was there - and Guinness (both well kept and served) as...More

This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.
