A pub that only does pie and chips! I was in heaven. The pies were incredible and the chips were great (big fat proper chips not silly french fries). All washed down with a well poured pint of Guinness. The landlady was very friendly and the service was excellent despite the fact that they were incredibly busy. Also if you... More

Great pies - consistently good. Served with chips and beans or mushy peas. Various chicken, meat and veggie options of pies. Well stocked bar to pick from to wash it all down. Cosy surroundings. Host Robbie is entertaining- but might not be to everyone's taste. Go here for a great sociable night out

Thoroughly enjoyed my pie in this unusual bar which has a local feel but was none-the-less extremely welcoming. The military and service memorabilia inside adds something... it's amusing but also quite touching: clearly people leave something here which becomes part of the place. The landlord was great: very down-to-earth, but attentive and jolly. I liked him a lot- great character... More

Not on the main street but not too hard to find, well worth the short stroll from my guest house. They only do pie & mash or pie & chips but what a selection, spoiled for choice here and of course plenty of ale to wash it all doon!

They only serve pies and chips but the selection of pies is great. The pastry is crispy and there is plenty of filling in them. Highly recommend.

Description
This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.
