I have visited this pub on several occasions as part of a group. Almost always disappointed with the quality of the meal. Very pleasant surroundings but the food is shameful. Extremely over priced for less than quality produce. If it was my decision I would...More

I visited for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and the place did not disappoint, a beautiful little spot and a great menu. The food was excellent, range of beers extensive and the staff polite and helpful. Cannot recommend enough !

Called on our route home and booked dinner. Very busy, they had a wedding on as well. However, friendly staff and quiet efficient service. We both had griddled pork chop which was very well presented and cooked. Ice cream and tart tartan for desert, again...More

We use the Chequers quite often. Food is not the cheapest, but it is excellent quality and there are always real ales on tap. If you have a dog, you can eat in the bar, which we find less formal and more convivial. They have...More

Hi decoy932 Yes we have a lovely garden that looks up to Belvoir Castle. Plenty of seating for a sunny day - in fact there are people sitting outside having lunch today, the last day of October!
