What a lovely find. Super atmosphere in this tea shop/bakery. They have an extensive tea and coffee menu. And a tasty range of treats to eat. All served superbly. What a refreshing change. My only complaint. . . . The millon calories I consumed!!!! 😊

No better place for breakfast than on the outside terrace on a warm summer day. The interior has been refurbished since last we visited as has the bakery shop, but the food and service are as good as ever.

Really wonderful food. Very generous portions and has their neighbouring bakery you cannot resist on the way out. Been many times and will certainly be back. Cannot commend too highly

The Hazelmere Café and Bakery offers superb food delivered by well trained friendly staff. We enjoyed a Hazelmere Breakfast and Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon and a pot of proper Brazilian Coffee. We would definitely recommend this establishment and can't wait to return.

We happened upon this gem while out on a drive through the Lakes District. What a find! The tea for two provided a lot of food, every bit of which was delicious. My wife loved the tea that was served so she (of course!) bought...More

To the café Manager, Would it be prudent to reply to negative comments and give apologies and reassurances that where appropriate, issues would be resolved, and hopefully encouraging a return visit?

The Hazelmere in Grange over Sands has been owned by The Stubley family for 38 years. Dorothy, the proprietor has set the standards very high and only serves the best quality, locally sourced foods where possible. We have a beautiful Tea House where our meals are served and in the summer months we have the option of eating out on our front of house terrace. We also have a deli bakery on site where you can select delicious take away lunches for you to enjoy in the ornamental gardens across the road or you can eat in our take away courtyard. In the evenings from March up until November the Hazelmere turns into a very high class restaurant, booking is recommended as we do get very busy, exceptional meals produced by our very talented and experienced chefs.
Everything is made in house and our bakers make all the produce through the night so its as fresh as can possibly be when it goes on our counter. We continue to strive to bring to our customers the best products around and take great satisfaction from this. Our excellent teams of waiting on staff and shop and back of house staff ensure the smooth running of such a large business. We look forward to welcoming you to the Hazelmere !
