We stumbled upon The Galleon when we were walking through town. It's down a small breezeway in the heart of Fowey overlooking the Harbour. The people are friendly and the restaurant is warm. The food was very good and it was crowded on a Monday night with locals and tourists like us. We had the fish platter, the tomato basil... More

Stayed in Fowey last July, ate at the Galleon lots, lunch one day, several nights for dinner and lots of coffee stops. Welcoming, dog friendly and nice food and nice fellow diners. Could not fault it.

You cant order food until 12.00 so we had to wait as arrived @ 11.4, but they will not take your order as the tills wont let them. Saying that the food is hot, plentiful and if you have the 2 for £14 is a cheap eat.

Nice place and good staff though meal was cold when it arrived. To be fair, it was replaced within 10 mins and was piping hot. Room comfortable and we paid that little bit more for the river view, shame the weather was poor the following morning but then that's Cornwall for you. Overall, we found Fowey really expensive and its... More

A nice enough place with good staff . At present the building is being extended so expect lots of banging crashing and drilling . As for Fowey itself we found it extremely expensive in every aspect from car parking to eating out and drinking . Will not visit cornwall again , they seem to think they can charge west end... More

When we were on holiday in Cornwall we had a visit to Fowey. After walking around the town we decided to go somewhere for lunch. The problem was that we had a dog with us. After a short search we found that The Galleon allowed dogs and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a great... More

Went here while in Fowey for lunch and so glad we did as everything from the service at the bar to the waitress bringing the food was 1st class. Greeted in a really friendly manner when entering and had a table prepared immediately for us as it was totally full and customers from one table had just left. The food... More

Lovely food, I had the steak and ale pie made with locally sourced meat peas and chips for under £10 great value and Doom bar ale at un rip off prices. The wife had a lasagne and was equally pleased.

Popped in yesterday to watch the rugby - not too busy so was able to get a seat. The beer was good and reasonably priced. All the staff were friendly. Was going to eat but it was really cold in the restaurant area - the food did look and smell nice though.

Thank ScotlandBeckie
