This is a must go to restaurant the food is top quality and service to match. Meat was so tender and flavourful and our friend said the sea bass was delicious all served with rice and cous cous and Turkish bread with drinks all round £88 if this was in London you could double it and it would be packed out. Try it you won’t be disappointed

Best chicken skewers

The food was the best I've had in ages, the chicken was perfect, you get Rice & Bulgerwheat, & salad. The bread was also free which is the first you normally have to pay for it. The young girl was very chatty & really polite. Great price we will definitely come back.

Wow and that for Dereham!

We were on our way on Tuesday night to another restaurant which turned out to be closed and so ended up in A Taste of Istanbul. What a surprise. Although a bit empty, we had an extremely friendly service. We started with 2 cold and two hot mezzes. We followed that with chicken and minced lamb mains followed by baklava and Turkish coffee. All dishes were of extremely good quality and were washed down by a nice bottle of Yakut. Lovely in any location, a great surprise in the Dereham context.

Lovely meal, deffo recommend!

Just had a fabulous meal here, we shared the liver as a starter which was really yummy. Then shared the platter for 2/3 which was amazing, really well-cooked meat with great flavours, served with rice and bulgar, flatbread and dips. Really nice atmosphere and the restaurant was full by the time we left which no doubt reflects its popularity. We though it reasonable cost too, will definitely be back!

What a Jem!

What a great restaurant in Dereham. A the authentic food was presented in a great way but importantly...great cuts if meat, not burnt , still succulent.. not easy . Only about 25 covers or so I guess so a real gem 💎. Will defo go again.

Been twice now, once with my mate and our boys and second time with my mum and family and both times been absolutely spot on! The foods favour from all aspects is on point from the hummus and home made flat breads to the abundant meats and home made baklava 👍 Usually I’m not a couscous lover but this is on another level and to wash it down with an ice cold pint of cobra tops it off. For a small market town this place is superb and well worth a visit. Excellent staff and spotless place with a great atmosphere 👍

Delicious and plentiful food

Our first time ordering tonight for a collection and we'll definitely be ordering again. We had the jumbo platter and all of the meat was perfectly cooked and delicious, particularly the lamb ribs as they were so meaty. The salads were lovely and fresh and the sumac added an extra level of flavour. The bread was really light and fluffy and the rice and bulgar wheat were cooked just right. The hot meze platter was delicious and according to my sons the calamari was the best they've ever had . Good value for money and friendly, quick service.

A jewel in Dereham.

Staff were really on the ball, food was spot on , last minute booking but found room for us. Even my stuck up sister was impressed with the food . Great value for money, would highly recommend .

Possibly the best restaurant in town

Excellent menu, very tasty. Quick and attentive service with a low wait time after ordering. Arrived on a Friday 5.30pm and left at 7.00pm filled up very quickly all previously booked.
