We arrived at 12.03 with our little dog and asked for a table in the seating area with outside views covered with canopies, to have coffee and cake. We were told that we could not sit here as they were now serving lunches! We were offered the outside area and told that there were heaters and blankets to keep us... More

Just had the most disgusting end to what was a thoroughly enjoyable evening until Lucas (a waiter) told my friends to be quiet and used hand signals whilst attempting to act like the ladies behind us had complained. We then asked the ladies and apologied if we were too loud and intruded their evening. They however looked confused and said... More

We went pre-Christmas and it was baking hot in there! Almost unbearable! Good was nice but not brilliant value for money all in all. Nice location&I have friends that go often.

Nice starter of mackerel pate, but ramekin placed on top cream cheese - why? My wife also had this, but gluten free. It arrived with normal toast, taken away, toast removed, and two pieces of gf bread on a separate plate - not toasted! My wife wanted tagliatelle dish, but informed that no gf pasta available. Ordered sea bass with... More

This is so nice its a classy restaurant without being too spendy. We sat inside due to being cold but it would be a great place in the summer with all the outdoor seating they have. They offer a wide range of foods but seafood is their speciality. We did go back and have breakfast there and it was just... More

This is the first time for a meal & definitely my last. While the location, decor & service cannot be faulted, the menu was boring, very limited & very over priced. I can think of half a dozen restaurants in Christchurch that would not only offer more choices, but would havd ambience, cost 30% less & make better quality food.... More

Booked in here for a pre-wedding meal. It has been booked in the diary for months, yet they were unable to give us a table where we could all sit together. Our waiter was really good, suggesting wine pairings and being really chatty, however one of the starters from our table (the one served in the clam shells), was about... More

Many years ago there was just a public slipway now it's all changed and quite picturesque and includes The Boathouse. It is a modern pub/restaurant with good views, young cheerful staff and reasonable pricing but for us it seemed a little pretentious and lacked soul.

Good place to come for a drink and the view, but the food is a waste of time. A mixed sharing platter consisted of 2 bits of ham, 2 bits of chorizo, some tough olives, a few salad leaves, 2 small cubes of cheese and as an unannounced replacement for pate two huge slabs of lentil cake. This cost £16.50.... More
