The decor and ambiance are very good, lovely table linen and generous sized tables. The service is pretty good too, with staff taking coats from you to put in the cloak room. Unfortunately although the presentation of the food was good the main course and vegetables were seriously over salted which was a disappointment at £25 per head for a... More

We dine here more than any other restaurant, staff are lovely and the food superb! If you like a help yourself buffet with a ton of food then this isn't the place for you, if you like top quality food balanced so you enjoy 2 or 3 courses with wonderful flavors and fresh ingredients then you have to try here!... There were 4 of us and we had a lovely meal. The starters were excellent, cheese souffle, crab with poached egg and hollandaise , terrine and avocado on toast. 2 of our mains were roast beef - very good and my fish was quite plain but good. One of us ordered a chicken pie, but it had mash on top... More

we visited the Kings and had a very nice family meal, 7 of us in all. The staff were professional and very pleasant. The food was delicious. Unfortunately some arrogant man at another large table was complaining about something and it was not nice to see the staff at Kings trying to resolve his issues in a fair way but... More

Booked to celebrate my wife's 69th Birthday with the family. What a mistake !!. 1 of my party ordered sirloin steak, they served 'T' bone & argued they were serving sirloin 'on the bone' tonight. They could not provide a second cider, as they had 'run out' & to cap it all, my turkey main course was terrible. The under... More

There were 6 groups totalling approx. 80 people crammed into the annexe for a set xmas menu. The service was help yourself from trays of food on the table, which didn't work well as there was not enough. That seemed like a blessed relief as the food tasted like it was precoooked and reheated. Some complained, which didn't get a... More

For the place that it is and having a menu that is advertising quality food with a difference my husband and I were extremely disappointed. Although the staff and level of service excellent the food was awful.

Very nice and cosy place. Haven't tried food, but cocktails are just to die for. Great staff and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Christchurch. Nice décor, excellent food (both choice & quality) & very friendly attentive waiting staff. Good 2 or 3 course offer on Sundays.
