Popped in for a drink to see what the place looks like and have a look at the menu. Beautiful furnishings and lovely bright feel to the pub. Toilets much improved! Only had a coffee and my husband had a beer but all good. Menu looks great and we will be trying it soon. Staff were all friendly and eager... More

The pub is under new management, they have clearly spent some money doing the place up. Its been opened up, and repainted. They have real ale and a good range of largers on tap including moretti. The food menu looks good and reasonably priced. This is the first time i have been since the new management so will definitely be... More

As a very local resident. We went there on opening night. A glass of Prosecco was offered and the free nibbles were tasty and imaginative. Was very impressed with these. My friend had been invited too and turned up a little later than expected. No complimentary Prosecco which had (fair enough) run out. Purchased a 200ml bottle of Prosecco £8... More

Thank you for your feed back. It certainly was a busy night with over 100 people coming to wish us well. I'm sorry we were not able to say hello to everyone. Our menu since opening has expanded to bar snacks, a burger at lunch time, steak as well as our a la carte offer. We are also open at... More

The pub has had a nice make over but this has been reflected in the price of drinks!! Two ginger ales £7:50 - really. The meals are nice for a pub but again the price!! Wouldn't go back due to the prices.

Thank you for your comments. I notice that you frequent the Ship in the Quay and like their offer. I myself take my family there to eat and drink. Their starters are on average £5, mains £10.40, desserts £5. Ours are £7, £14 and £6 for desserts. Our food is made fresh daily from scratch, this is reflected in the... More

We visited on Wednesday evening and after finding the menu was very limited, especially with 3 Teenagers and 3 Veggies in our family we settled for a few items off the bar menu and the specials board, including the Mushroom Rissoto. Unfortunately we were told that the veggie option had sold out, so we opted for the alternative veggie option... More

Thank you for your review, but it is incorrect. We are now in our second week of trading. Our menu is freshly made on the premises, opposed to frozen or microwaved produce. This means we concentrate on quality. There are 6 starters, 8 main courses, 6 desserts, 7 if you count the cheese board and the option of a luxury... More

We visited this restaurant recently and we were not very impressed with the Menu it was very limited not enough options to choose from on the menu and I also thought it was quite expensive for the amount and variety on the plate shame really lovely setting ,but needs a bit of fine tuning on the food side

Thank you for your review. I don't know when you visited us or if you ate with us? We are now in our second week of trading with the kitchen open. There are 6 starters, 8 mains and 6 desserts on the menu. All freshly prepared on the premises. Our pork belly option was on the menu yesterday with roasted... More

we're so glad that this place has re-opened, the refurb has been carried out very well by the new owners and the look internally is now fresh and bright. They've had the good sense to employ one of the best chef's in the area as their new head chef, Luciano used to own the Blue Fish on Portland where the... More
