Bit confusing when first enter, as you have to wait to be seated if having a meal and table service, but should go straight to the counter for eg. coffee and cake. Good venue, and the full meals did look good.

On the last day of our holiday we went here for a cream tea and had the best scones that we have ever had - they were so light and fluffy. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. If you are in Weymouth and want a cream tea go here - you won't be disappointed!.

Great lunch venue on top of the cliffs overlooking Weymouth Bay. Quite tight inside for space but nonetheless a very nice little cafe. Good food and friendly staff.

I am a local person whose father in law has just moved to the area at the age of 80. He has lived here previously. We are trying to have breakfast and lunch at as many venues as possible. The lookout was an obvious choice for its location. The food and service were excellent. Only draw back was the step... More

Had lunch there as the view is gorgeous. Luckily the weather was clear. Had the Thai fish cakes which were absolutely scrumptious. Usually have the bubble & squeak but thought I ought to have something different. Glad I did.

Looking for a breakfast on the last day of our holiday and we found this place through a google search of nearby cafes, The location of this cafe is at the top of a hill, overlooking Weymouth and Portland offering stunning views. Only had breakfast here so I cant comment on the rest of the menu. The big breakfast that... More

Stopped in on our way back to our caravan, it was ok. Had a drink and some cake, not much more to say, would return.

I have stopped here a few times before, but today we had time for lunch....... Not disappointed. Great welcome from the friendly staff. Delicious fresh coffee. Quirky "bubble and squeak with an egg and bacon", and a massive "super salad". Well worth the short wait to eat it as it was freshly prepared. Sadly the cake was too much for... More

Took my Mum for a cream tea. Kitchen door to outside was open, crushed boxes, overflowing bin and food scraps with flies all on view as we walked to main entrance. Lovely cream tea, but got berated for taking sugar beside till as didn't see the pot on the table 😞 Greasy tray and table. Cobwebs strewn from the ceiling,... More

While serving up cakes coffee and Dorset tea most of the time, the Lookout Cafe also serves tasty local fish and chips, fresh crab sandwiches, and salads of all types. Well worth eating there just for the view over Weymouth and Portland.
