The new owners only took this place over on 25/10/2016 and we couldn't have received a more friendly welcome, they were so nice and couldn't do enough for us. We ordered food which was really nice and good value I really hope this venture really takes off for them they really deserve it.

Came to Bowness today 28.10.16 with 3 hungry kids and husband. Found The White House, had very nice friendly welcome from the owner. Ordered pizza's for kids which went down a treat and myself and hubby had the traditional fish and chips which was amazing. Would definitely come back again fabulous 5* service. Thank you

Possibly the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Also the staff were rude and it is overpriced. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone

We walked in to The White House with the intention of getting a couple of drinks and some dinner. We arrived and there was nobody around staff wise. We found this strange and sat down after waiting a while. A man dashed past and we asked if we could sit where we had already sat and he seemed a little... More

My partner and I did not stay in the hotel but we did call in on Saturday 28th June to the bar for a drink. The man who served us was scottish and wearing a football shirt. All we ordered was 2 glasses of diet pepsi. He not only charged us £3.90 for two tiny glasse, but he was rude... More

Unfriendly and irresponsible staff. Do not go to this restaurant if you do not spoil your precious holiday.

This place is just the dining room for the awful B&B called the White House Hotel. The evening meal was terrible with tough steak half the advertised size with a dribble of tasteless watery sauce. Breakfast was just as bad with greasy eggs, leathery bacon and microwaved sausage. Stay away.
