Went in here as it was cold and raining. Thought grab few hot drinks and cakes. Fruit cake n chocolate cakes was amazing. Service was slow as theybwere one staff short , the wait for our hot drinks were too long. Personally i think the place had poor ventilation, the whole smelled like we were in the kitchen so when... Came across this little gem pottering the little streets of Bowness. Dogs are welcome indoors, although outdoor seating is available too. The service was very good and the food was even better. Even Milly the Maltese was offered dog treats on a saucer!!! The toasties that my daughter & I had were great & my son gave his sausage &... More

We were very cold when we arrived at the tea room, having walked the dog for a few hours. The welcome we received from the owner and his staff warmed us up, before we even perused the menu. I opted for soup and sandwiches. My bowl of soup was lentil and smoked bacon,...absolutely delicious and piping hot. Cheese and chutney... More

We stumbled across this tea room while waiting for our room to be ready in our hotel. We went in and sat down, a family of 5. The little old lady who was serving had attitude as soon as we went in. She definitely needs some training on front of house customer service. We ordered our food which seemed expensive,... More

Just called in here after reading reviews on here and I can't see how this place has got good reviews. The staff were not friendly at all and the toast we ordered was cheap, thin bread that was undercooked. A couple came and in and sat next to us and after looking at the menu asked to order and was... Fantastic little tea room, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious and very filling. Soup, sandwich, side salad and a pot of tea, all for an amazing £7. Great value and will return before heading home at the end of our weeks holiday. Well done St. Martins.

Small but lovely cafe. Nice tea, delicious sandwiches and the wild garlic and mushroom soup was delightful. Highly recommended.

Don't know what Steves Magic is with the Beef and Stilton Toasted sandwich but gets me every time. Always soft succulent beef with the Stilton just oozing taste. Regular visitors . Looking forward to going back again. Service always friendly and great value with the tea room very traditional and welcoming to all.
