Giving this place 4 stars even though I couldn't get in. I'm assuming the food is very good because on a weekday lunchtime, at the edge of a town I didn't think would support it, this place was bunged. Walked in and we were asked did we have a booking. Really doesn't seem the sort of place that would need... More

Visited here last week on a lovely, sunny but breezy day. This was my first visit & my friend & I were pleasantly surprised by our experience here. Friendly, welcoming staff & tasty, plentiful platefuls of food. Will be calling here again! 😃

We visited Roa Island in mid January and spotted the Bosun's Locker. Considering it was a weekday it was very busy over lunch time. A look at the varied menu and the prices its popularity was understandable. Bosun's Locker is a small, intimate café/bistro situated by the lifeboat station with a wonderful view of Piel Island and its stunning castle.... More

We have recently moved into the area, and this cafe was recommended to us by one of the locals. Do not be put off by how it looks, but go inside and meet the friendly staff and eat the good wholesome food at reasonable prices. We were very pleased with this find and will certainly go back again. It says... More

A group of us booked a table for Saturday lunch. I had liver and onions which came with a separate bowl of vegetables. This was delicious, and very filling. Other members of the group enjoyed their various choices. The meals arrived promptly and were fantastic value for money. Will be going again!

We have eaten here many times previously and always been entirely satisfied with our visit, usually an excellent service with lovely flavoursome food. However on this occasion we visited for a late lunch after a visit to Piel Island. The food looked and tasted good, however on eating my salad I discovered a dead flea in it, and therefore left...
